Hey,
I saw your comment on vintagevixen's journal about American Dreams and I thought your screen name was cool so I decided to look at your profile because I was bored. And I think we have a bunch of things in common. You watch a lot of communities that are about things I like, even though I'm not watching them (some I didn't know about and I'll have to check them out tomorrow!) and we both live in NY, and like American Dreams and The OC. Wanna be friends?

*waves* Hi there, nice to meet ya! You seem like a sweetheart. (= Okay, you're not gonna believe how much we have in common. For starters, you went to my high school!!! I graduated three years before you did. AND the college you go to? I went there for a year in my first year of college (I transferred after that to another school). Scary, huh?!

Added you, bb!

Oh wow, that's so weird! But pretty cool! Do you still live around here? Where did you go to college after St. Joe's?

Yup I still live in Massapequa, how about you? I went to the Fashion Institute of Technology after that and got my Bachelors there but now I'm at a CUNY school in Brooklyn because I decided the fashion industry wasn't for me.

How do you like St. Joe's? You almost done there?

Yeah, I still live here too. The fashion industry sounds fun, but I bet it's also tough ( ... )

I liked St. Joe's too, it was very small and intimate. They just didn't offer what I wanted in college at the time. I have 2 cousins who go there now! One of them is going to be in the play 'Clue' in March - he's going to play Professor Plum!

Going to school for fashion was a lot of fun (and I still LOVE fashion as you can tell from my journal) but the industry itself was not for me. I worked for about a year and decided that I didn't like the isolation of working at a desk by myself. So I'm going to school for health care and I'm happier!

WOW you student teach at MHS and Berner? I would have felt weird being back there! High school kids can be pretty intimidating, at least that's how I remember them. Oh and I'm on the short side and introverted too so I understand. I know what you mean about surviving on LI. It's sooo expensive even though the only things to do here are diners, movies and malls haha.
