The reception party is being held at Ralph's tomorrow. It was a good idea to have it while we were on Spring Break and this way Ralph doesn't have to close down to the public on a weekend. Of course, Nick is having a party on Friday for his birthday. I'm hoping Eric will go with me. I know it's still the teen scene, but I only have a few more weeks of being in high school and then we'll be like a normal couple.
Captain and Mrs. Morgann have been so amazing. Once we all got moved in, Kim called and told me I didn't have to call her Mrs. Morgann and that if I needed anything to let her know. Which is kind of weird, since she's the one who is pregnant, but I told her she could call me for her cravings or shopping or whatever she needed too. She's even been giving me some cooking lessons. I'm surprising Eric with the chili recipe that Kim shared with me.
He's been really awesome about my learning to cook. It can't be easy choking down some of my earlier disasters, but Kim said everyone has mishaps when they are first learning. I want to get at least a couple of dishes down so I can invite Amber and Marcus over for dinner some time.
Oh crap. How much pepper is supposed to go in this? Hmm. I guess I'll wing it.
