friday niiiiiiiiiight....
so, i started off my night with no plans. sat out in the hall with some of my residents for a while and thought about maybe watching a movie together, when i got a text message from alicia. it said "is kristen with you? i can't find her, i got back to the room at 7 and her away message said she had gone running, but that could have been earlier."
one nervous phone call later, i was on my way to aldrich to meet alicia and go search burnside for kristen. we figured she might've gone to visit their friend brian, but had no idea what room he was in or even which tower. we talked to a very unhelpful RA and searched the entire C tower before running into derek (who tried very hard to be helpful, but to no avail) and perston (who i have no problem admitting, has gotten VERY hot over the summer, and looked like he was up to no good, but tried to help as well), and then got a call from kristen, who had been up at fine arts the whole time. we went back to alicia's room and hung out with steph and the two roomies for a while, until steph and i were too tired to stay any longer.
i walked back to tucker, tried to find someone to call in my phone, but couldn't find anyone i really needed to talk to. talked to matt (petey ;) ) and nicole for a little while in the office, and headed upstairs. right when i got back to the computer, dan dacunha IMed me, and after talking for a minute, we determined that neither of us had any plans for the night, so we decided a movie night was in order. he came here to pick me up (i was already in my pajamas) and we went to his frat house. much nicer than sigma pi (thank godddddd), his room is really big and it's seriously carribian themed. too cool. there's a big, light-up palm tree--nuff said. we opted to watch big fish (i've never seen it) and settled down onto the couch (super comfy, loooove it). poking and elbowing aside, it was a good time. dan and i haven't hung out since freshman year and i really think he's a great guy. i feel like we usually end up hanging out while he's dealing with girl problems and he didn't mention anything tonight but i feel like that might be the case again. ah well. we'll see. anyway, halfway through the movie, an extremely sleepy dan dacunha asked me if i'd mind postponing the conclusion of the evening for another time when he wasn't falling asleep. i agreed, and he took me home. and y'know what's cute? he's one of those guys who sits in the car and watches to make sure you got inside ok before he drives away. i love that. sometimes.
anyway, i'm back to my room and just figured i'd write about my night before heading to bed. breakfast with mary in the morning, then meeting her boyfriend! i'm so psyched. hopefully i don't get too attached to him or anything, as we all know how much fun that is when the relationship ends. not to say anything about mary and mike--just...a general comment.
i'll get into that some other day. i'm in too good a mood right now to get going about not so happy subjects.
i love old friends and theatre kids and everything about today =)
