so, tonight was "staff bonding night." i'm finally catching on to everyone's names--i at least know everyone in the building i'm working in, still working on merrow--and i really like them all. i don't think any of them are yankees fans, which is a plus, haha. and i switched on-call nights with matt (the other RA on my floor) so he could go to a sox game, which means he's the coolest person in the building (other than yours truly). i don't really know where the on call schedule came from, or why it is the way it is, but as far as i can tell the weekends are pretty well sorted out which is cool. and i don't mind hanging out in my room for a whole night. come on. a night with spidey, justin and junior? hahahahaha. the kids on my floor are going to catch me talking to my plants and all cred will be lost. whatever, i'm not worried.

there's already at least 2 kids living on my floor--one of whom is named matt--who keep walking past my door and looking in awkwardly. the one who i haven't met yet basically ignores me, but this matt character seems like a good kid. if they can all be like him, i'll be juuuuuust fine. my room's a single, so it's tiny, and i think i might need to rearrange a little bit (err...a little bit more), but i think it's going to turn out pretty cool. at least i have some awesome new room accessories to put around coming in the mail from delias and posters to put up and curtains and a carpet to buy. whee :)

there goes that kid again. i wonder what his name is?

anyway, bonding night was ordering pizzas from tony's (everyone's very excited to know that tan works there...i think kevin's expecting a free pizza or two), drinking mountain dew and watching "taking lives," which was the creepiest movie i think i've ever seen. it was fun, though, matt and dave are pretty funny guys and it's always fun to hang out with new people. erin, who i'm assuming is kevin's girlfriend, was there too, she's really cute. kevin reminds me retarded amounts of craig--he does things like says "false" instead of "no" and has the same kind of voice...maybe it's a long island thing? i wonder if craig's ever been there? hmm...

anyway, i'm psyched about this year. the staff is awesome and the dorm is nice and once i get this place to look like i live here, i think i'll love it. and i'm pretty sure i'm well on my way.

well, the nanny's on, and i think i hear nicole coming by for a round, so i'm gonna go talk to her and watch some good lifetime and go to bed.

cheers!
