i'm thinking about starting a blog (i'm not really sure why, the inspiration miiiight pass over the next hour or so) and i'm not sure what my name should be. i guess i just don't know what stands out about me enough to create a name that i'd be known by on the internet (besides this one
where's summer b? is the name of a ben folds five song which i heard for the first time at one of his concerts (this was before i got the self-titled BF5 album) in december of my freshman year at URI. summer b. was a friend of mr. fold's (i'm pretty sure she dated Darren, the drummer for ben folds five) who one day pretty much just up and left the town they lived in and called him one afternoon to ask him a favor--they didn't talk for too long, as i understand it, he just got a chance to warn her that her landlord had gotten pissed off and thrown all of her stuff out of the place she lived out onto the front lawn and i believe there was something in the story about there being pink eviction notices all over the place, too. after this phone call, everyone wanted to know what she was up to, where she was, what her story was, and he really didn't know it either because it was such a brief conversation. i've sort of always thought the idea of just getting up and leaving is a terribly romantic and adventurous thing to do, so i sort of admire summer. best part: he thanks her in the liner notes of the album. love. anyway, i didn't think i'd write this journal for as long as i have and i was really into this song at the time (they've been asking where ya been/like i know where ya been/hey summer, where ya been? has always been what pops into my head when summer--the season--is approaching) i started this journal in the summer per suggestion of miss alicia brockway so i named myself, i suppose, after the song. and 84 is the year i was born in. duh.
which i don't want to reuse). this sounds like i'm assuming that anyone will ever read it, which i don't, really. i just figure it'd be kind of fun, i guess.
so, any suggestions?
