first, i would like to say that reading stacy "magnum's" livejournal is like reading an episode of sex and the city. i swear if there was a 20 year old carrie bradshaw incarnate living in boston, she'd be it. i highly suggest getting in touch with her about reading it sometime.

SEVEN DEADLY SINS:
ANGER
1. Who did you last get angry with? a boy who shall remain nameless (voldemort?) because it was really dumb and he doesn't know about it and no one else needs to, either.
2. What is your weapon of choice? words. in writing, that is. i'm pretty badass when it comes to disertations, i think.
3. Would you hit a member of the opposite sex? of course, if he deserved it.
4. How about of the same sex? i guess so. but not as quickly as i would hit a boy. but i probably would.
5. Who was the last person who got really angry at you? oh man. probably my mom. i don't know.
6. What is your pet peeve? oof. i have a lot. i was discussing them with someone a few weekends ago and decided that my top three are as follows:

2a: people who are rude to my mom
3: people who don't call when they say they will.
7. Do you keep grudges, or can you let them go easily? i absolutely hold grudges but i think i'm pretty good at letting the small ones go. as a general rule my first impressions of people are wrong, so if those count as grudges, then i'm pretty good at letting the little ones go.
SLOTH (kelly?)
1. What is one thing you're supposed to do daily that you haven't done in a while? hahaha, oh man. at school, it's shower, which is so gross, i know, but something about gorham does it to you, i swear. any of the girls i've lived with in the past 2 years can attest to that. but i guess working out is something i should do every day which i never ever get around to.
2. What is the latest you've ever woken up? i woke up once at 4 in the afternoon. then proceeded to think about taking my own life to rid the world of my laziness. jk.
3. Name a person you've been meaning to contact, but haven't: hmm. probably a lot of people, but mostly kristen wilkos. i haven't talked to her since she moved back to CT.
4. What is the last lame excuse you made? hahaha, oh god. i make a lot of lame excuses, but i'm pretty sure they all have to do with sleep. i'm such a bastard!
5. Have you ever watched an infomercial all the way through (one of the long ones...)? no. but i've also never watched an infomercial, i don't think. i lead a sheltered life.

GLUTTONY
1. What is your overpriced yuppie beverage of choice? ooooh, fruit smoothies. especially the blueberry sunset from the rams den. yummmm....also, caramel iced lattes from dunkin donuts.
2. Meat eaters: white meat or dark meat? white. i think it's just what my mom always told me i liked as a kid, sooooo that's what i eat.
3. What is the greatest amount of alcohol you've had in one sitting/outing/event? oh my god. all i have to say is that the last night i was drunk was the 4th time in my entire life i've ever been drunk, and also that i've never seen anyone as drunk as i was that night. i literally have no idea how much i drank and i never want to be drunk again as a result.
4. Have you ever used a professional diet company? are you fucking KIDDING me?! that would involve having money AND determination. two things i do NOT have.
5. Do you have an issue with your weight? i definitely do, i hate my stomach and if i could, i'd lop it right off. but i'm also a lazy, emotional eater. thus, i will probably never do anything about it.
6. Do you prefer sweets, salty foods, or spicy foods? it totally depends. but usually not spicy.
7. Have you ever looked at a small housepet or child and thought, "LUNCH"? hahaha, i definitely remember not eating for 24 hours fall semester last year and thinking everything in my sight looked like food...i'm never going to run out of meal points againnnnnn.
LUST
1. How many people have you seen naked (not counting movies/family)? only two. and i don't think anyone in the entire world knows who those two are. at least, both of them.
2. How many people have seen YOU naked (not counting physicians/family)? completely naked? no one, i don't think. not even my doctor. i reallllllly have body issues and try to avoid being naked at all costs, if that helps with the "why" that should go after this question.
3. Have you ever caught yourself staring at the chest/crotch of a member of your gender of choice during a normal conversation? aaaaaahahahaha, this brings me back to one fateful stairwell conversation with jenn and andrew. yes, i have. but i'm way stealthier about it than some trombone players i know...
4. Have you "done it"? nope. i don't really plan on "doing it" until i get married, but i make it a point to never promise anything either way. i don't want to have to feel like i've done something wrong if i sleep with someone someday before i'm married. maybe that's really lame, but that's me.
5. What is your favorite body part on a person of your gender of choice? hands, arms, shoulders. not in that order even a little bit. haha.
6. Have you ever been propositioned by a prostitute? noooooooope.
GREED
1. How many credit cards do you own? one, if you count the mastercard on my debit card. if not, zero.
2. What's your guilty pleasure store? oof. claires? oop? old navy? i don't know. i have a lot of them.
3. If you had $1 million, what would you do with it? buy a car. pay for my mom to retire. pay for college. become executive producer of mike, dave and MFC. travel. and then just live off of the rest, if i could. or maybe i'd just use it all to buy mormonism and change a few rules. hahahahaha.
4. Would you rather be rich, or famous? definitely rich. i don't want to ever be famous. or, rather, if i ever was famous, i'd only want it to be because of either doing something really amazing for humanity or for being associated in a really good way with one of my famous friends.
5. Would you accept a boring job if it meant you would make megabucks? hmm. depends on the job, definitely. but probably, for at least a little while.
6. Have you ever stolen anything? hahaha, me and jenn stole shirts from savers! this was how we knew we'd be perfect roommates...no one else on the planet would steal from savers. what can i say? i'm jewish on the inside.
7. How many MP3s are on your hard drive? i have no idea, probably thousands. i have all of my favorite CDs uploaded on here, plus about 700 songs i've downloaded. but they're all in separate folders everywhere on the hard drive, so i can't really count them.
PRIDE
1. What's one thing have you done that you're most proud of? hmm. this is going to sound weird, but i'm not usually proud of myself. i don't mean that i'm ashamed of myself, i just mean that i save the pride for my friends. i guess i'm proud of how i've managed to be there for some people and have been able to put my feelings aside to help friends. but that pride doesn't come out until the friend succeeds at whatever they were struggling with. so, there you go.
2. What's one thing have you done that your parents are most proud of? i don't know. probably just that i've somehow managed to just be myself in lots of tough situations.
3. What's one thing would you like to accomplish in your life? as much as i kind of hate it, all i want in the world is to be happily married for the rest of my life to someone wonderful with an amazing family and great friends and a nice house and a good job. i just want it all. is that so much to ask?
4. Do you get annoyed by coming in second place? nah. well, i guess it sort of depends on the situation. coming in second in the relationship field, ie, being the girl who MIGHT have gotten the guy if he hadn't picked someone else, is definitely something i hate.
5. Have you ever entered a contest of skill, knowing you were of much higher skill than all the other competitors? unless you count online checkers, and add in the fact that i THOUGHT i was smarter than everyone i was playing against until they started beating me...then no. hahaha.
6. Have you ever cheated on something to get a higher score? haha, probably, but i think i'm too dumb to have things like that work for me.
7. What did you do today that you're proud of? finally called stacey to make plans to hang out first night back at school. got outside. took the initiative to make plans with someone. i don't think that last one is going to work out but at least i tried!!
ENVY
1. What item (or person) of your friends would you most want to have for your own? i have kind of always wished to have the friendship/relationship that maggie and craig have. but not to take it away from either of them, just to have one like it. does that count?
2. Who would you want to go on "Trading Spaces" with? i'd say maggie, because i know she'd make me a BEAUTIFUL room, but i'm afraid she'd hate whatever i did to hers! hahaha. maybe i'd go on it with beth, or lauren. beth might make my entire room pink, is my only fear. but lauren's artsy and could make me a cool room....
3. If you could be anyone else in the world, who would you be? some girl named elise. beth knows! whoever the J tilf is interested in, i am WAY jealous of.
4. Have you ever been cheated on? yes.
5. Have you ever wished you had a physical feature different from your own? of course. everyone does.
6. What inborn trait do you see in others that you wish you had for yourself? confidence, ambition. talent for anything musical.
7. Do you wish you'd come up with this survey? haha, a little bit. i'm glad stacy took it so i could steal it out of her lj! hahaha.
8. Finally, what is your favorite deadly sin? probably pride. but the EG side of me wants to say lust. i don't think pride is a bad thing when weilded properly. anddddddd i havent' gotten any in a while and i'm getting cranky. haha.
SEVEN HEAVENLY VIRTUES:
FAITH
1. What religion do you follow? none, really. i was baptized episcopalian, but i don't even know what that means. i think i'm jewish on the inside. then again, that might just be because i can't find a nice episcopalian boy, because every boy i ever meet is mormon or jewish. or gay. GAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
2. What religion were you raised as? episcopalian, i guess. but again, not really religious.
3. Do you believe that forgiveness is a religious property, or a human property? human. and while i'm not sure there really is a god, i don't believe that all can be forgiven. there are a lot of little things that just can't go away, ever.
4. Do you believe in magic? yes...and no. but yes.
5. What was the last promise you broke? hahaha, yeah, "i'll call you" was probably it. i try really hard to not promise things i can't follow through on, though, because i hate it when people break promises with me.
6. Have you ever said the words to a prayer and not meant it? i generally don't say/commit myself to things i don't believe in. i guess i said the lord's prayer in a play once and i don't know if i believe it or not, but i might. i've just never really thought about it.
7. Do you believe that anyone could be perfect? in general, no. but i do believe that everyone has a perfect person--for them--out there waiting for them.
HOPE
1. Did you get everything you wanted over the last holiday season? doubtful. but i was pretty pleased with what i did get. actually, you know what? i got everything i asked for, which was the "everyone loves an irish girl" shirt, and a trip to montana to see kurt. so yes, i did.
2. Regarding your future, what is the best thing you could hope for? love. "can't live without you love."
3. Do you let yourself get your hopes up for something even if you know that there is a large chance of failure? all the time. it's what comes with being friends with mike mathieu, andrew borstein, sean thompson, and craig roach. boys suck, sometimes, even if there's no romantic involvement to speak of.
5. Have you ever bought a lottery ticket? If so, how close did you come to winning? i've bought myself exactly one lottery ticket once. it was a $1 ticket, and i won $2. so, i doubled what i spent! haha.
6. Do you gamble? If so, what game or activity? nah. i don't really see the point. the chances of winning, ever, are so, so slim, and that really sucks.
CHARITY
1. What causes do you support? a lot. environmental, safe sex/abstinance, gay rights, women's rights (i'm no femanazi, but come on.), democrats (haha), peace, freedom. just to name a few. haha.
2. What causes have you given money or time to? i don't know if i've ever donated money to a cause, but i've donated my time and efforts. and i've donated money to the homeless if you mean i've given my spare change to the guy in providence a few times. you know the guy i mean. shaggy. yeah, him.
3. Have you ever worked in a soup kitchen or done another kind of outreach for the homeless? i did habitat for humanity for 2 years. i got a real kick out of it. i love the house i helped build.
4. Would you ever consider joining the Peace Corps, Amnesty International, or another travel-inherent worldwide charity group? i think i'd like to join amnesty. i don't think i'm strong or smart enough to join the PC, though.
5. Do you give money to the homeless on the street? sometimes. in general, if i'm on the street, i'm in a hurry and/or late. but i always do my best to be really nice and smile. i like what stacy said here. haha.
6. Have you ever helped out a friend with basic needs, like rent or food? absolutely. i would do anything for my friends. giving money isn't usually something i can do as i'm usually broke, but sometimes a friend just needs a good batch of chocolate chip cookies.
7. What's the greatest extent you've gone to help a friend in need? that's a good question. i don't even really know. sometimes things you think are no big deal mean a whole lot more than you'd ever guess. i let jenn sleep on my airmattress for about the 2 last weeks of school this year and it didn't matter to me in the slightest, but she wrote me a card and told me it meant the world to her. so, it's all relative, i guess.
FORTITUDE
1. What are you most afraid of? the future. particularly who it may and may not involve.
2. What did you do today that was really brave? hmm. i don't even know. i guess skipping work was a little bit brave.
3. Who is your favorite superhero, and why? hahaha, spiderman. beth might know why...
4. Would you put your life in danger to rescue someone? it depends on the circumstance, but i think for some things like that, you don't even think, you just do. i think i'd do it for a good friend, though. or a little kid. haha, i don't know. i'd like to think i would.
5. If you were to face the Wizard, would you want more courage, more brains, or more heart? absolutely more courage.
6. Have you ever gotten stage fright? If so, when? If not, how do you avoid it? sure, a little bit, every time i've ever gotten on stage. but you just have to swallow it and keep going. once you open your mouth, everything melts away and it's all good.
7. Do you consider yourself to be a leader or a follower? i'd like to think i'm a leader.
JUSTICE
1. Have you ever been summoned for jury duty? Were you chosen? nevaaaaah.
2. If they reinstituted the draft (for both genders), would you go, or would find some way out of it? i'd find a way out. i'd move to canada with maggie. if i couldn't get out of it, i don't know what i'd do. i could never kill someone. i just couldn't.
3. Do you support capital punishment (the death penalty)? that's such a difficult issue to choose a side on. on one hand, i don't think people who rape and kill deserve to live. on the other, i don't think they deserve to die. i think cruel and unusual punishment should be legal. i think osama bin laden should be hung from a 110 story building by his toenails, for example.
4. Which should be guaranteed legal? what do you mean?
5. Do you believe that Dubya is rightfully President of the USA? well...no. i think Gore rightfully won the election. but whatever. i didn't really like him, either. it's a lesser of two evils situation and i'd RATHER a democrat be in office, but Gore? i don't know....
6. What was your favorite media circus trial? oh GOD, i don't know...
7. Have you ever written a letter to a politician? yes. i wrote one about napster in like 10th grade to the RI senators, which i got a really rude letter back from. and i wrote to a LOT of people on a committee in the statehouse about keeping the student assistance program in SK schools, which i felt really good about. i only think one wrote back, but that letter helped me get into college. it was really cool. andddddd when i was in the 3rd grade i wrote a letter to president clinton and got a really nice letter back, but i'm pretty sure it was a form letter. haha.
TEMPERANCE
1. What do you have the hardest time moderating yourself on? food. mostly foods high in carbs. haha.
2. Do you collect anything? photographs. memories. good quotes.
3. Are you addicted to anything? not anything that's actually addictive. i mean, i'm pretty sure i'm addicted to falafel wraps from international, but that's not a REAL addiction. haha. well, i guess i'm addicted to caffine, aka, diet pepsi and iced coffee.

5. What's your preferred method of paying for things? cash, i think.
6. Tell us one thing you wish you hadn't let yourself do: drink. i really regret starting because it's something that is just so bad but it's so fun and feels so good, it's hard to not have a drink at a party. but i'm working at it. i don't want to ever be drunk again.
7. Do you feel that you obsess over things? oh, definitely. i let things get to me to the point where i lose sleep and can't eat. and when i can't eat, you KNOW it's bad.
PRUDENCE
1. Who is the wisest person you know? polly sealy. maggie brown will be, someday, though. and steven anderson is pretty damn wise. for a mormon, that is :-p
2. Have you ever participated in a vigil? never. but there have been vigils that i wish i'd been a part of.
3. Do you take advice when it's given? haha, almost never. i'm really bad about not liking to be told what to do. but i'm really good at taking things into account and doing them later.
4. What area are you wisest in? um...i don't know. history? haha. i'm pretty good at people. understanding them, figuring them out. helping them, if i can. i mean, i try.
