Survivor: Tocantins!

Okay, so after moving back to Norway I immediately caught up with the last season of Survivor (Samoa) and started watching the current season of Heroes vs Villains. Last week I realized I was still in a Survivor haze, and started watching Survivor: Tocantins for the second time. And now I've decided, since I'm sorta obsessed with Survivor, that I'm gonna watch as many seasons as possible, mainly because there's so many of them that I don't remember all that much, and I'm just interested in the way all the different seasons have been played. Survivor geek, that's me :p Yesterday I finished watching Survivor: Tocantins, so I figured I could dedicate an entry to this season.

^^ Did anyone else notice that on the two teams they're clothes were the same color scheme? Or was that actually intentional by production?

As an avid Survivor watcher, you know the people and how they interact is the most important factor in this show. And I just had something on my mind when it came to a few of the players.

JT: He's that good old southern boy you just can't help but love. Definitely the sole survivor in my eyes, he was the non-proclaimed leader of the pack, dominated in challenges throughout the game and everyone loved him.
Stephen: Had a good social game, being friendly with basically everyone. What got him so far was all his alliances, although none of which were all that tight, apparently.
Sierra: First thing that happened this season was that her tribe "voted" her off, but look how far she got! She did good in challenges, but just lucked out with the rest of her tribe. And I feel like she was a far more worthy player than her tribe gave her credit for.
Erinn: I didn't remember this girl at all when I started watching the season over, so I figured she would probably make it to the middle of the pack, especially seeing as it didn't look like her tribe liked her very much. But she is the example that flying under the radar can get you far, and almost to the very end. She surprised me, and probably everyone else.
Coach: What a joke! Haha, I love him though, and he was one of my favorites on Heroes vs Villains, but on Tocantins he was a complete joke. All the crap coming out of him was just hilarious, but I'm surprised he didn't get voted off sooner, he could've easily won the whole thing.
Tyson: When I first watched Tocantins, I disliked him. On Heroes vs Villains, I loved him and was sad to see him go so early. But watching Tocantins over again, he was probably my favorite, after JT. He was loveable, still, not trustworthy. And his funny one-liners made this show awesome :p

This season actually had a bunch of really pitiful players! JT and Stephen basically got the final two spots placed in the palm of their hands! The two of them, and Taj, were outnumbered entering the merge, and the Timbira tribe could've easily taken them out, but because they were all pretty much worthless and blind, they didn't realize that they actually have to play a strategic game to actually reach the end in a game like this. JT and Stephen were the frontrunnners of this show, and controlled everything, without the rest even noticing, it seemed. I'm surprised people didn't vote out JT sooner, which they did talk about for 5 minutes, but it never came up again. So therefor, I believe this season resulted in the rightful winner, JT outplayed, outlasted and certainly outwitted the whole bunch!

^^ No doubt one of my favorite players ever. And I don't mind the whole typical southern boy sharm either, I certainly can't resist that :p
