(no subject)
I got to London today at around noon UK time. My flight was delayed for four hours because of maintenance and some other crap. They boarded us on time, but we sat there for two hours because of something with the hydraulics, and they had to turn off the air in order to do it, so we were sitting in a 90 degree stuffy, sweaty plane. not fun. Then when they finally got done we were supposed to take off, but before reaching the runway the plane comes to a stop and something is wrong again! We go BACK to the gate for another two freaking hours.
Scheduled departure: 5:20
Actual departure: 9:50
Anticipated time to spend on plane: 8 1/2 hours
Actual time spent on plane: 13 hours
Anyways, I got here completely exhausted cause I hadn't slept the night before my flight, and my attempts to sleep through the flight were in vain. Still haven't slept, not even a nap. ALMOST fell asleep on this laptop a few hours ago. If I can just stick this through till 11, then I'll sleep the whole freaking night. So yeah, that's what's been going on, I know I don't sound too excited yet, but you guys just wait till I've had my sleep tomorrow. We have our orientation in the morning, I can't wait.
I've also been having some confusion with my mailing address, I have two to choose from, and I've been giving people one of them even though I'm not sure if it'll work. I'll ask and have my mailing address/phone up FOR SURE in the next couple of days.
Oh yeah, and I was just wondering if all London drivers are crazy, or maybe it's just the taxi drivers...or maybe it was just my taxi driver. He didn't use signals, but I guess that's not exceptionally surprising. He also didn't use the lanes...that was kind of uncomfortable.
