some quick news....
school is going good. its time consuming and a wee bit overwhelming but its good.
the national labor relations board has found merit in my case against cluw (i filed an unfair labor practice for the firing) and a complaint is being issued. not sure yet whether they will settle or we'll go to trial. i'll keep ya posted. i'm very happy about the news.
last night was the nascar race in richmond and my parents went. i was sad there weren't tickets left us but we had an awesome fun time watching it on tv. denny's in for the race to the cup. wooohoooo!!!! and my step dad scored me a flag for my bachelor pad basement. SWEET
we went to my dad's girlfriend's lake house for the long labor day weekend. my mom and step dad were there too. we had an awesome time hiking and going on the boat and jet skis. we brought the dogs who had an amazing time. perhaps i'll get around the actually posting some pictures! it was on of the best weekends i had and just what i needed before starting the school year.
i took hilary out friday to see the football game at the high school i teach at. she didn't understand how serious the friday night football games get around here. it wasn't so popular in vermont. ha ha. we had a fun time.
but then today as i'm sitting in my brian dawkins jersey getting ready to make some wings and settle in for some good eagles football, i see that the game is not being showed on fox as it was listed. instead lame reruns of crime shows. so i'm pissed. we call the local fox and they say that since the redskins game is playing on cbs, they aren't showing any games. WHAT!? i can't believe on the first day of the season, the only game i could see was redskins. i frantically called my family in richmond where they were happily watching 4 different games of popular east coast teams. whatever. never in my life have i lived someplace that only showed one friggin game. it totally blows. if its going to happen the whole season, i need to get some cable with that nfl pass or find bars that play more games. i miss philly :(
anyway, there is a quick hodpodge of life happenings. hope everyone is doing well.
