(no subject)
i hate having a cold. the one i have now isn't so bad but its creating a lot of pressure in my head and makes me kind of out of it. this morning at work we were going to talk about these books on nursing and have a good conversation about them and i was a bit out of it....but i'm still gonna try to update...
i went to this tapas bar with hilary last week and it was AWESOME. i love food. i love trying new stuff and tapas is totally the best way cause its a meal out of lots of small meals. plus we drank an entire pitcher of sangria and watched live flamenco dancers. we had so much fun.
i'm taking the week between christmas and new years off. i'm excited to be home. its ends up only being 2 days of my vacation because of the holidays and my birthday holiday.
the campaign is going well. the hearing to determine bargaining units is happening on jan 31st...so hopefully we will have an election in april. i'm excited. i think we have a very strong majority.
i've been thinking a lot about what my life will be like after organizing. a lot of people seem to think i will be doing this work forever...but i don't know about that. there are lots of things i could see myself doing and lots of other ways to create change.
tonight is my work christmas party. i'm excited. although i definitely think my co-workers here party A LOT less...i'm curious to see how it will go. plus they just recently hired another organizer who is young and cool so i know that at least we will have fun.
oh! and my hair looks cute today!
