Head's up for good show on BBC Canada

If you get BBCC (channel 275 on Rogers) - there's an excellent show, Afterlife, starting Monday with the first two episodes showing @ 8 & 9pm. I saw it last summer and really liked it. It's fairly quiet, no gore, no aliens, no car chases or explosions, but it's worth watching out for.

ep. 1 synopsis: "Psychology lecturer and psychic specialist Robert Bridge has seen many dubious clairvoyants in his time, but Alison Mundy is different. Alison has been troubled by spectral visitations that include Robert's dead son Josh."

"Even if you think such things are a load of old rubbish, try to suspend your disbelief from as great a height as neccessary. Afterlife is a taut and snappy spine-tingler, even if it does use some old-hat shocker techniques such as creaking floorboards, darkness, inexplicable noises and unexpected taps on the shoulder. It lasts an hour, so the central story isn't flogged to pieces, and this first episode has a powerfully gripping opening sequence that's as unexpected as it is disturbing. Well worth a look."
