tootle-ing pt. 2
yesterday was a hoot.
1st stop: Starbucks so dh could get his beloved mocachino.
Headed up the 400 and around the 88 got stuck in a HUGE traffic jam caused by 3 cars that didn't know how to merge all trying to merge into the same spot. We were there for awhile. [rolls eyes]
Headed into the Cookstown Outlet Mall because by this time one of us needed a bio-break. Hadn't intended to spend any money but the Padermo store was standing between us & the exit - and [joy of joys!!] I found my teapot!! It's an exact copy of the one that got smashed during the disaster that was us living in the basement. I've looked all over and hadn't found one, and this one was a heck of a lot cheaper than the one I got online so bonus! :D
dh wanted to see some water feature by the Servern Bridge so we got off the highway and spent the next .... oooo, 2 hours going in circles. Seriously. At one point I saw a Spiderman stuffed doll on a mailbox. And then an hour and a half later there it was again. dh denied that we were going in circles. Now either there's a real trend happening in spiderman mailbox decorating or we passed the same house twice. We never did see the waterfall, rapids or whatever it was that we were looking for.
Had a late lunch in Gravenhurst at Rombos. Recommended.
Bought some bakery stuff at The Bakery in Gravenhurst. Overall, not recommended. Excellent chelsea buns. Disappointing butter tarts (according to the butter tart fanatic in the family). Gross fruit bread.
Tried finding some water feature on the way home but didn't.
I guess we couldn't have just asked eh? [guys. what do they have against asking?]
