The hidden cost of our fiat lux
Turns out that the electrician unplugged our chest freezer sometime Wednesday or Thursday.
And it didn't occur to him to plug it back in.

dh went to the freezer at 9:30 Saturday night to get something and found everything in the top 1/2 congealing into a puddle-y mess. The stuff at the very bottom was still rock hard so it was ok.
Once I finished tossing out all the ruined stuff I called the contractor and gave him a piece of my mind. It actually occurred to me at first to wait until Sunday morning to call him because I didn't want to bother him on a Saturday night.

But then I got a grip.
If my Saturday night is going to be upset then damnit, so is his. So I called.
He told me to write it all down and let him know what the total cost will be so at least there's that.
But honestly. What kind of a brain does it take to know you have to plug a freezer back in if you unplug it?
