Writer's Block: It Sounds Better When You Say It
Well, in my opinion, English doesn't sound very cute at all. But I find saying things in French or German is. Like, if I want to say "Yes," cutely, you just can't because it seems lazy to say "Yeah,". So "Ja" sounds pretty nice, even "Ouais," or "Oui,". It's that ~wa~ sound that gets me.
Saying things like: "I think . . ." or "Hello! My name is . . ." Doesn't sound very appealing. However . . . "Je pense que . . ." or "Ich glaube . . ." and "Bonjour, je s'appelle . . ." or "Hallo, ich heisse . . ." sounds very appealling.
Then again, I never have to speak German at home, but I do have to speak French sometimes, but not always.
