The search for a home continued
So we are accepting that we are getting a steal of a deal on the rent we pay right now in our too-small but kids and pets allowed space.
We have begun looking at what is out there. I felt really excited about this new development near 5th and Yukon; beautiful sky flats built on top of a buiding that houses grocery, coffee, reno and clothing stores. Ample parking, my kids would have felt safe and able to commute to their school and friends, pets allowed.
But there is always a catch; dogs have to be under 20 lbs - mine are 50 pounders and get this; maximum 2 people per suite because it is zoned as live/work.
The units were 1 bedroom plus den but the den was for work space and even bigger than that bedroom, making it a viable second bedroom. We would have been looking at a stretch of adding in a third bedroom space but with some vision and dividers/pony walls, it could have been done.
Not now. We continue to look but really don't want to move out of Vancouver. Bleh, I am defeated for now.
