Um. Hi? Is anybody still out there?
How does this work, again? My fingers do the bangy thing on the keyboard and make words and then I hit "post" and suddenly it's thirteen years later and I'm gay and have a baby the magic happens?
Hallo everyone! I hope you are all very well, and happily romping through whatever fandom pastures you've scattered to now (perhaps a few of you are still keeping the LOTR/Lotrips faith?).
A very brief news round up:
Baby Boy was born last summer, and is now 15 months old. Baby Boy is a totally awesome baby. As they say on eBay, A++++++ WOULD BIRTH AGAIN ANYTIME!!! although dear lord I'd do some stuff differently regarding the actual birth. Like, you know, hiring someone else to do it.
abundantlyqueer finally finished her doctorate this spring. She is also officially the Best Mama Ever, but I take partial credit for that because I picked her. What else.. her long long thick dark tresses have been chopped to shoulder length, which looks really good. She hasn't been writing too much, but I expect that some fandom will drag her in at some point because she's like that.
Me, I'm finding myself back in the fan world again after so veryvery long because I tripped over Doctor Who and fell face-first into Torchwood. I am starting out in a new fandom here, so if any of you are in Torchwood... recs? What are the must-read basics? I'm all about Jack/Ianto. Oh, and I like a bit of Rose/Nine or Rose/Ten (and, well, the OT3 there is practically canon, isnt it?) Getting a Kindle *clasps hands over heart* has totally sucked me back into fanfic.
