IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS + ISLAND PLOTTING POST
Greetings Smash Academy (Smashlings? Smashies?) we have a few changes to announce that are in effect starting right now.
1 - Canon character histories can now be linked in apps to help you out. However, there are rules regarding this and is not applicable to everyone (such as OCs and canon characters with a too short history). You can find the full details in the rules, and in our app guide.
2 - Everyone gets Five (5) character slots from the get go, with the 6th being the only one that requires a sample. However, as stated in the rules, we will reserve to right to deny you a reserve or an app if we feel that you have been too inactive with your other characters. But no more having to worry about counting the months anymore! The usual dropping rules still apply (2 weeks before you can reapp) as well.
3 - Speaking of returning characters you've played before, they no longer need a full reapp. Making you refill out the application each time is a tedious process both for you and for us to review so we're making everyone's lives easier. We have created a new reapplication form that requires you to link to the previous application, along with any history and personality changes that have happened since that first app was submitted (such as the time they spent at school). Keep in mind that the link to first app is MANDATORY. There will also be a requirement for you to make two brand new writing samples and this is going to be the main meat of what we'll judging you on. 4 - PLAYERS CHECK RESULTS are in! The dearly departed are as follows: sunflowersangel, popstarpainter, derptwig, siren_of_wisdom and notbabar. If you feel any of this was made in error, please don't hesitate to contact a mod. These changes have been reflected in our ADD/DROP LIST which everyone should go update anyway, go go go!

~ISLAND VACATION EVENT~
As you're aware, the school has been covered in sand for the past 2+ weeks and its gotten progressively worse. Wind is blowing it out of the stadium and all over the school; in your face, in your hair, all over the hallways, caked onto your cars, ships and vehicles... Did I mention it's the middle of July and swelteringly hot out?
The obvious solution is ship everyone out of the school to another place filled with sun and sand. That's right, the entire school gets to go on an all expenses paid field trip to Tropical Paradise for one week. You are, as usual very welcome to opt-out and stay behind, take your own private vacations, take refuge in FDC, whatever you want to do... But if you want to join us, that's great! Here's what you need to know...
- SBG ON A PLANE. We're hand-waving the plane ride over there, but if there's a big interest for a plane log, we can make one happen on the way back.
- Accommodations are provided for. There is a hotel/resort everyone can have sexy sleep overs in. If you're the adventurous sort, you can also go camping.
- IF YOU NEED IT, IT'S ON THE ISLAND. This place is pretty magical and rad like that. Want to karaoke in a tiki hut? NO PROBLEM. Want a curse of genderbending? Shotalolis? Animal transformations? HEARTSWAPS? YES. Mountain trails and hot springs and cursed temples and all that stuff? All you, baby. Seriously guys, it's okay to go nuts making up descriptions and things. All you need to remember is it's an island and you'll be here from July 22nd to July 29th, so put on some sun tan lotion and go have some fun.
- We'll be throwing up a big open log tomorrow to start, but after that you're free to make any other logs as you see fit.
