a ballad
A Girl Without A Name
Standing at the lockers..
Only two lockers down..
A silent girl was listening..
She heard:
Tina.. Where did you go?
You werent at the party last night..
You missed an incredible time..
And maybe this time theyll notice me..
She thought to herself inside..
And she walked right passed them..
But feeling valiant today..
She decided to wave hello..
The blonde girl..
Sally was her name..
Her eyes skim pass her..
Right past her!
Imaginary?
Non-existent?
And now the coy schoolgirl
Is getting some what irritated,
day after day she saunters pass them..
And they never ever wave hello
Maybe somethings WRONG with me..
unbelievably wrong with me
She thought to herself that night..
So she went to the store..
And bought some eyeliner..
and maybe this will make me alright...
She was so pleased.. When she got ready for school..
She drew on her eyeliner..
And now she would be cool..
Stationed by the lockers..
The hushed girl waved again..
I really hope than notice
But they looked passed her...
Again
She went home that night..
Expecting to awake..
But she didnt realize how many pills she would actually take..
She knew she would feel better
And the pills would deaden the pain..
Now shes finished her life..
Shes out of this game.
And when she left,
She left a note saying
No one was to blame,
Signed, a timid girl without a name.
