[Anyone passing by the Vesperia Hotel (aka house 12) might notice an unusual sight: Judith appears to have found a rocking chair in one of the shops, as well as the most unrevealing outfit imaginable- a long dress, a shawl, and plain, flat boots. Her fashion sense remains intact, but... well, let's just say she's become more traditional ( Read more... )

[ emony is one of the rare individuals not affected by this odd behavior defect (or so she perceives it to be so) and pauses at house #12 after catching sight of the excessive knitting. the woman doing the knitting isn't someone she recognizes, so she can't say for sure whether this sudden affinity for yarn is normal or not, but that's not about to stop her from approaching and indulging her curiosity. ]

Mind if I ask what you're knitting?

[Judith looks up at the voice, spotting an unfamiliar woman there, then glances down at her work.] I'm really not sure. I just started knitting and thought I'd let the wool decide.

[Though in all honesty she's never knitted before in her life, so it'll probably end up a bunch of knots.]

Why, thank you. [Even though the majority of it is trash, the compliment is appreciated.] I'm Judith- it's a pleasure.

[ trash or not, the technique can still be appreciated, especially by one who's certain that if she ever attempted knitting, it would be a tangled mess of knots poorly attempted weaves. ]

It's a pleasure to meet you too, Judith. Have you been here long? In Luceti, that is.

Actually, I've lived here for more than a year, now. [Give or take a month back home, at least.]

[ emony's eyes widen in surprise. over a year? she didn't think anyone had been here that long. she knew that buffy had been here for a while, but she hadn't asked exactly how long that was... perhaps she should. but, over a year. that made her stomach drop down to her toes somewhat. so long without being home. ]

Oh. I'm sorry to hear that.

It's alright. This place is hardly a prison when you've experienced the real thing.

[Besides, she had her kid here. She can't really say it's been a completely wasteful experience.]
