I'm interested in hearing from those of you who know about caring for children. The younger, the better.

[Private to Yuri]

Now that the others know, it may be best if we make it public information, for the sake of those beyond Brave Vesperia who know us. There's little sense in causing problems by surprising them later.

children are trouble, yuri, question for the masses, bleh babies

Ah... my thanks.

In truth, I have no idea what to expect from this pregnancy... I imagine you'll be the most helpful, since you've gone through the same experience here in Luceti.

Indeed, I have. Is there anything specific you want to know?

I know it's a ways off, still, but... how did you know it was time? How did you prepare for it?

I was marking down the days, and we had predicted when Sophie would be born. During the last week, I couldn't move around so much, but I made sure to let the clinic know that I would be there. When you go into labor, the birth doesn't happen immediately afterward. There's still time to make it to the clinic.

As for how you know... It's different for every woman. But the best sign is when you start to have regular contractions, about... oh, five to ten minutes apart.

[She'd rather not tell her about the fact that she was kidnapped right before she gave birth, but she knows she'd have to say it some time. At least so that Judy will expect it.]

... I feel so uneducated... I don't even know what a contraction should feel like.

Though I have to admit I never imagined I'd find myself in this situation...

That's quite alright. A contraction is the tightening and relaxing of uterine muscle, the largest one in our body. It's not a comfortable feeling... I'd say it feels like a cramping sensation that starts at the back and moves to the front.

I-I see.

[fffff /trauma.]

It isn't terrible. I'm sure you've dealt with much worse.

...It's only terrible during labor.

When you're giving birth. It's done through a series of contractions. It's... quite painful.

[Joy.] ...I can handle pain.

As I thought. I suggest you have a hand to hold onto, though. Preferably attached to someone who doesn't mind having it crushed.

....Yuri's a swordsman. I don't think he'd be happy about that.

I... doubt you'd actually crush his hand. Perhaps bruise it a little...?

I have a fairly strong grip, so it's possible I could.
