Written for the
me_and_thee_100 prompt: darkness
Long ago, young Davey learned the value of darkness for sharing secrets among friends.
Whispered thoughts during schoolboy sleepovers, fantasizing about that snob Sharman and her huge tits; the low light covering their blushes and early erections.
Comparing notes under the bleachers about who did and didn’t put out after the school prom.
Telling his best buddy about his new girl, while they were on a long and otherwise boring stakeout.
But now? He’d do anything to stop that darkness closing in and get his lips to move. Hutch seemed to understand, though, and nodded.
No secrets between best friends.
