Warnings: mention of non-consensual sex between soldiers, violence
A/n: Starsky's "I'm not your boy" comment during Satan's Witches has always had me wondering...
The last guy to call me ‘boy’ went home from ‘Nam with a hole in his foot from his own gun, branded a coward for his lifetime.
He was my platoon sergeant; thought everyone’s ass was his. “The privilege of power”, he called it.
Nobody gave blood for him. They didn’t visit, or see him shipped out.
Everyone knew him as a man's man. One platoon of soldiers knew he was a lying bully, a violator of human rights, a depraved animal.
It wasn’t his finger on the trigger that day in ‘Nam.
And no-one ever called me ‘boy’ again.
