Does size matter?
Well.. Yes, in some cases it really does.
I miss my old 6gb computer, Foo. I wish I still had him. But then again my 60gb laptop, Ryley is harder, better, faster, stronger. *Daft Punk*
In that sense, size really does matter. I mean I have about 19 gigs of music and 8 gigs of photos and 2 gigs of videos, and then there's heaps of miscellaneous files, oh and all my games. =P My old computer really wasn't big enough.
Wanna know why I called him Foo? When I got my computer I got a new keyboard that came is a cardboard box. On the box it said "Press this button (*arrow to button*) to turn foo the computer." When I read it, the first thing I saw was "Foo the computer", and so that's what he was called. As for Ryley.. I just like that name. =)
Yesterday I bought some new books. I have a problem with buying books. I can never buy only one, and I always somehow mange to spend at least $60 every time!! Sometimes I spend over $100 just on books. Which is kinda weird, because I don't usually read very often (I go through phases of ready heaps/not reading anything).. And I don't usually have that much money very often either.. Whatever, I just love books. Anyway, so yesterday I bought some sequels to a book I recently finished, Interview With The Vampire, by Anne Rice. I bought The Vampire Lestat, The Queen Of The Damned and The Vampire Armand. There are 6 more books in The Vampire Chronicles, and then another two books in he New Tales of the Vampires. I want to read them all!! I want to own them all!
My mum keeps saying, "Why not borrow the books from the library? Why do you spend so much money on books?"
Gahh!! I swear.. She just doesn't understand the need to own something. Once you have read a book such a good as these, you can't just dismiss them and give them back.
It was the same with the Twilight books. I borrowed the first two from my friend Tara. After I read them both, I went out and bought all three. My mum was like, "You've already read them, haven't you? So why do you need to buy them?"
Ahhh!!! She is so frustrating. She just doesn't seem to understand!!
Funny though.. She goes to some book-group thing once a month. And with every book that the group decides to read, my mum either buys them, asks for them for her birthday/christmas. Why can't she go to the library? Why does she have to own books and not me?
I think I know what the problem is!! She wants to hog all the book shelves in the house!! She doesn't want me to fill the bookcases up!! That must be it! How rude! I'm going to have to have a chat with her when she gets home about this. =P

I can't wait till the holidays. Not long now. I mean it doesn't make much difference to me, 'cause I'm basically always on holidays, but soon everyone else will be too! Yippee! I can't wait. =D

July 19 - See Karen and John. Uncle and Alice come to Canberra.
July 20 - Uncle Myles and Alise will visit, then drive back home (Sydney).

Aug 02 - Splendor In The Grass.
