The US military has proven to me time and again its lack of concern for human rights in general. I will grant you without reserve that Saddam's direct leadership (and indirect through generalized policies) led to far worse offenses than those the US is responsible for. But the US is not lily white in this area.

Jennifer Hanson is wrong. The US is not more savage than Iraq under Hussein. Being an opponent of the death penalty in any form, this was not a solution I prefer, but it is certainly better than, say, letting him go.

I don't believe you can compare Hitler and Saddam. From my reading about WWII, Hitler's methods were more subtle (you know, a baseball bat held by someone you THOUGHT was a friend (Nazis) as compared to a baseball bat held by someone you know is out to get you (Iraq) - same result, broken head, different methodology). And, I honestly do not think very many whiny bitches would be protesting Hitler's death. Much fewer than now, at least.
