Globe is robbing me!
Got the iphone about a week ago. I was really enjoying it just looked so pretty in my hands, and surprisingly worked really well.
I also got it through globe, so legal sya. I get software updates from itunes plus i get to download free stuff too. The browser is what actually really got me, it works so well!
I was online on it *all* the time. Well i'm often online, but even when I was at home, i'd be browsing on the phone instead of on my laptop. Note i was using my wi-fi connection (which I have a monthly subscription to, from SMART).
Well when I was on duty, I'd be browsing using the 3g technology. I even bragged to Mads that I had an 'ok na din' internet connection wherever I went because of the 3g. I know I abused it that one night when I was on duty and super bored.
A couple of days after that Globe texts me to say that I should settle at least 50% of my bill kasi umabot 11 thou na daw (!!).
I called customer service later and asked WHY ON EARTH my bill is that high! After a week! The woman explained to me that my charges for internet usage were astronomical, and I in turn explained to her that most of that internet usage was on my wi-fi connection, and should therefore have no charge.
She gave me this chuva spiel, which was completely dumb and so I no longer recall it. But that still left me asking myself what I'm gonna do about it!
Should I pay? I shouldn't have to pay for the wi-fi browsing, because I have a separate internet connection, and I pay for that monthly. With my old smartphone, I would browse din naman ah, and there were no charges for that!
Well, I can see I haven't made much of a point yet. My point is FUCK YOU, GLOBE! I shouldn't have to pay for internet if I'm not using ur 3g technology to browse ok! This is robbery! You are robbing me!
And what's worse is I don't think there's anything I can do about it... I may just have to pay those charges... And then what?
