I've been nudged three times now so okay, I'm here. Look. Typing in the little white box and everything. This got long so I

Lots of things happened but I suppose the best is that I passed my Diploma in Creative Writing, and not only did I pass it but I got a Distinction for the second year running! I was absolutely thrilled, it was a lot of stress to get the result though because the website got fucked up or something, but anyway, finally I did. Some friends were here to help me celebrate, and my mum bought me a bottle of champagne :)

I'm having a good think about what I'll do next and when I'll be doing it, probably in two years, we're not sure yet.

Lee got a bonus at work and with it he paid off his PS3 (which I made him buy earlier in the year) and he bought me a bike! I'd been wanting one for a while, and kept trying to find one on eBay. I finally won this one from a woman in Doncaster. It fits in Lee's new car with the seats down, and it's light enough for me to heft around. It had been about 15 years since I'd been on a bike, so it took a while to get my balance, but I'm loving it. It's blue:

I can't go very far on it yet, but I will get better. Eventually I want to be zipping around our village in it, up to the Post Office and the shop/coffee shop, but I'm trying to build up slowly :)

I inspired my mum too because she bought a brand new bike, it's lilac with purple flowers. We have a lot of plans to get riding them!

Lee got a new car! His old one needed too much welding so we've got a Ford Focus C Max which is like a taller bigger Focus, it's huge. He needed a certain size because he always has drums and assorted gig stuff in it. I like driving it and we've been swapping on my days off (I have a silvery-blue Corsa that I adore!) so that I can take my bike out. It's really easy to put the seats down too :)

Work has been a bastard recently. We moved to a huge office all of our very own two weeks ago, all in a rush, and the Directors hadn't costed it so there's stuff we've had to buy and they're all stressed about money. Ash and I have a lovely big office upstairs, our desks are huge and we have tons of cupboard space. We're also not in the same room as Sandy anymore which is good because I like her but she's so!stressful! and over the top about everything. So we've been going out for lunch together and that's lovely!

My 2nd job is going fine, it's kind of money for old rope because it's usually so easy. I'm actually going to a conference for it this week, Weds-Fri, all paid for, hotel with en-suite bathroom etc. The sessions finish at 9pm so I think I'm going to be writing letters etc, if I have your address expect to hear from me! I'm looking forward to it though and am hoping to learn from others who do the same job as me.

Then I went and got myself a 3rd job! It's for a counselling centre in Huddersfield so it's sort of close to my heart, I'm doing the bookkeeping though. It's only one day a month but the money is nice :) No wonder I've been busy!

Hmmm what else? It was Lee's 29th birthday, we went to an all-you-can-eat place with all my family - mum, Norman, sister, aunt, uncle, cousins, grandma. I bought him a new DS and a night in a hotel in Manchester that we need to book, and my mum bought him a ukulele! He's thrilled with it and it makes me happy to listen to him :) Next year for his 30th I think we'll have a big party and maybe his band will play. They played a bunch of gigs in July and tempers frayed; to be honest I'm not sure what's happening now. We had a lovely day out in Matlock Bath though when they played there, I would recommend it if you're close, it's like Scarborough or another seaside town, except it has no seaside, just a river! It's bizarre. The cable cars are cool, Sam and Norman and I went up in it :)

Oh, Lee's brother Chris got married in July, it was a nice day but it ended in punch ups and the police being called soooooo that wasn't fun! Lee and his dad managed to diffuse a lot of the tension though.

Have I missed anything? I'm on Twitter as sullenhearts by the way, am usually there at least once a day!

etc, life, himself, biking, work
