No snow here. Lancashire rarely gets any snow at all. It has to be pretty bad for us to get even a light covering. The Pennines protect us on one side and the coast protects us on the other.

When I lived in Wakefield we hardly got any, just a few miles south and there's tons cos I'm right on the tip of the Pennines.

The Pennines don't half come in handy. Although having said that, we have had snow this afternoon. We have a very light covering on the ground so now I can feel like I can join in with the rest of the country. It's terrible being left out!

I know right? This morning a council truck got stuck at the bottom and a tractor came and dug it out.

Have you got a lot where you are?

We had about 6 inches or so of fresh stuff yesterday, and another 2 or so overnight. Most of the roads I use are fine, except my street, which seems to have turned into an ice rink. I had a fun skid turning off into my drive!

Me either. We didn't even attempt to get our cars out today. It's like a nuclear war round here.

Is that a 'watch out for sliding' sign in the photo?

It's so fucking cold here at the moment and we don't even have the benefit of snow to go with it.

Yes, yes it is. It should face the road but has for the last 3 years faced our house.

Boo to that: ( It's so pretty, although annoying.
