Art recs?

I've been wanting to start posting art recs for a while now, but because of this whole LJ mess I'm unsure about that now. Most of the art recs would have links to other sites (like Deviantart) and not LJ, and about 99% of them would not be smutty at all. I'm still worried though that some idiot would find something they'd want to report through one

Um, there are over 700 here at the ranch...only about 100 or so are really into h/d though....

I agree with dihall - people would surely love your recs and you can easily avoid smutty art if it worries you. :)

I do still really like the idea of art recs, but I would definitely urge you to avoid the smutty stuff!! But I also like mordyn4's suggestion of using GJ for the recs - perhaps then you could rec the art which you really want to, without causing yourself any additional worry.

Perhaps I'll just make sure that the smutty recs are made on GJ. Not that there'd be that many... :P

While I like pretty art, I fear for you safety on LJ. So, in this climate, at this time, I vote no. Because until they agree to a warning system, you could lose it all in a flash, and running an art comm would make you a target.

I wasn't planning on running an art community. I just wanted to post art recs every couple of days on this journal. And nothing would be too explicit (probably nothing over PG-13)... Just, pretty art.

I still worry though. :(

I'd love fanart recs. But should you really go there? It depends on what sort of art you plan on reccing. I really enjoyed your fanart makes fun of canon/fanon recs :) So... I think thematic fanart recs or something would be great! But be a bit careful with the higher ratings, okay, we don't want you to disappear :/

I was planning on doing general art recs. But sort of thematic... I haven't really decided yet. I miss art recs. There aren't that many art rec lists out there. And if there are, they aren't updated often. So I thought I'd do art recs every once in a while, with a focus on a particular character, or technique, etc. :)

Rec, I think, but maybe f-lock the entry? Or don't f-lock. Really, I think we are all secretly, or not so secretly, hoping LJ will take their heads out of their butts. I want to see the pretties!
