(no subject)
So more tales from 3rd grade...
One of my student has many chickens. He just got 15 more and he said to my teacher that he named one after me and her. I thought that was cute.
We went to the Harriet Tubman musuem. An hour bus ride, on a hot day, with no water or food for the kids is not a good idea. I was taking care of 3 sick kids on the bus, hoping they wouldn't get sick. Four of the kids wrote me thank you notes for being their chaperone.
Because of the trip, we watched Ruby Bridges. I have never really heard the story and when I was reading on of the books on her to the class before the movie, I was actually moved. My teacher handed me the book she wrote about her story and I was in such awe. The movie definitely was very factual to her story. WE had the students write to her and I did too. We will send the letters to her education foundation.
My students were sad that I have HOBY this weekend. So hopefully on monday when I come back, they will be good for me the whole day while i sub.
Well thats about it, off to SUNY Geneseo. I think I'm not going to meeting with Chris tonight.
