It was a good week end
Jeremy came home Friday night for the week end-partly for a martial arts camp, and because today is Gary's birthday. Jessie & Michelle came out today and we all met at a restaurant for brunch. From there, Jeremy headed back to Madison to celebrate his 5th anniversary with his girlfriend, and Jess & Michelle came out here to the house for the day. They're getting married in Sept. and want me to design the wedding invitation and make them a guestbook, so we had to talk about all that. Another project:)
I did get in some art and made a few 4 x4s which I posted a little earlier. Also got a new blog up & running. Not sure if I will make this one a friends only kind of thing so I can really be "me" here or not. Actually, I have no idea if anybody else even reads this, so it may not even be an issue.
Trying to get fired up for Valentine's Day. After being off most of the month and then go back to work and have it be so nuts, will be a little hard, but necessary. V-day is my least favorite floral holiday anyway-the wholesalers start jacking up the prices a month ahead of time so we have no choice but to increase our cost to the customer. Every year, crabby men come in to buy roses because they feel they have to, and they also feel like they're getting screwed over on the price-which is why they're crabby in the first place.
And shortly after we start spring planting-it feels like we just got over that part!! And if I thought we were short handed last year, it's worse this year! I've already talked to my boss, and told her I CAN'T work like last year-no way. And neither should she. We're getting too old to be doing all that toting & hauling:) Besides, until I'm told otherwise, I have a 20# restriction for lifting right now. Feb. 16, I see the new neuro guy and get going on this back-whatever that will be.
It poured rain here for over a day-if it had been colder, we'd have had snow up to our eyeballs! It did cool off enough, that right it's snowing big fluffy snowflakes-the pretty kind.
That's about all that's new here-now to catch up with the rest of you----
