Thanksgiving!

WOW!

I just got home from my thanksgiving trip and it was so much fun! I went to Wisconsin, and I was in the middle of NOWHERE. There were Amish people in buggies, people with dead deer in the back of their pickup trucks, cheese, and lots of other authentic middle of nowhere Wisconsin stuff! There were fields everywhere with bails of hay and cows, some sheep too... It was just so nice to be with such nice people and just have good conversations.

I left on Thursday morning with April and her friend Thom, whom I had never met before, and we took the Metra as far out as we could go. When we met up at the Metra station downtown I found out I was going to Wisconsin and I got really excited! I didn't know where I was going before I left, I just knew I was going. I t was like a surprise vacation thing. But anyway, we lwft at 10:30 and finally got to Thom's house around four. Six hours of traveling was crazy. I got to go to a wal-mart which was ironic because we were just learning about how wal-mart was evil in school.. I took a picture out front, and I am going to send it to my teacher. I also passed a wind farm out there too, I was learning about those in school and I had never seen one of those turbines in person... but MAN they're huge! They were so interesting and cool!

The town I went to was called Fennimore and it was so interesting. The town hall was in the same small bulding as the library and there were small cafes, and farms... I met some interesting people, they were all very nice. Thom's family was SO nice. Hid dad was large and adorable.. he made a BUNCH of sugar cookies and they were SO GOOD. I brought a bunch home. Thom's mom (MamaLisa) was really nice too. She had found this ADORABLE kitten, and named her (we think) Piper, but her nickname is little bit. She is SO TINY and ADORABLE. I just couldn't put her down. Their dog Sophie was adorable too, and so sweet! She was just so happy to see Thom, and be pet. I just love that house and the family, they were very down to earth and kind. Mamalisa sent April and I home with a bag of apples, a bunch of cookies, and leftover turkey and other thanksgiving food. Thom's grandma (god she's so creepy) gave us cookies too, they're oatmeal and they're really good!
