And as yet another small incident resolves with little satisfying conclusion, I wonder if Discedo is as interesting as I'd imagined~ The lack of tea or sake certainly doesn't help this.

So, to entertain myself, I'd like to have a little curiosity of mine sated. What exactly is the governmental structure of Discedo?

Why thank you so much!

As for the government, there isn't any. None I would call a government. Just people who keep trying to enforce order.

Remember to keep this a secret from Cirno though~ On a side note, hers should be the first entry.

I'm surprised by that, to say the least.

I'll just ban her from my room for a few days.

I'm not particularly. When you have people that come and go so often, there's bound to be little stability. When I first arrived there were people more involved with the community, people the others looked to for support. But then the population grew, and those people were sent home. Unless someone else steps up to take the reigns, there is no reason for anything to form.

You believe she'll adhere to that?

I'd imagined that a framework at least would have survived. People merely expressing their whims as they please can make this a dangerous place, can it not?

And since when did banning someone from a room imply that had to actively keep an agreement? I hate to be so hard handed, but I can just physically restrict her from my room too.

Even with a frame work, with nothing supporting it, it will fall. Right now what we have are people forming social groups, and small organizations, but all of them are still somewhat separate from one another. To have anything more, someone will need to step up, and take it.

My, I daresay she won't enjoy such treatment~

And even those small organization will fall apart when a few people vanish. In other words, Discedo is downright chaotic~

It will be her own fault if she can't stay out on her own.

Exactly, and nothing will change without people actively trying to change it.

Given her way of forcing a door open involves freezing it in place, you needn't worry~

Wouldn't you say it's more fun with things in this chaotic state?

Well then, it's not like she can freeze anything currently.

While part of me agrees, part of me is also quite used to the benefits and security of average society.

A small blessing~

And which part do you agree with most?

Since I am only human, I must confess that I seek security and order more than chaos. For in a situation where my person can be safe and assured of comfort, I can then properly enjoy the chaos of others.

So, I suppose I seek out my own order, and couldn't really care less about anyone else outside of my own personal circle.

In summary, you are 'only human'. Then again, that selfishness, balanced by kindness, is one of the most amusing things I have encountered~

It also makes me ponder how much of a boundary there really is, between human and youkai.

Hmm? you think so? Some people might call me more selfish than others though.

Only the boundary we make in our minds. If we all understood each other, there would be no boundary at all.

Then that makes you even more interesting~

You think so? I really do doubt that.

I wonder.

Maybe that's because you can't see it. But, I can, and I think one day, it might be able to be reached. Even if it's just one person trying their best to achieve it for themselves.

I've held that boundary in my own hands~ It's certainly not something that you can hope to shatter easily.
