So if you couldn't tell how obsessed I am with the Joker by now, you should be able to tell by my ultra smexy layout. I needed a change and just wasn't feeling the more romantical layout I had. I'm kind of burnt out on romantic stuff at the moment. The Joker is now my computer and cellphone wallpaper, LJ layout, shirt of choice, well he's taken ( Read more... )

The Dark Knight, is pretty much one of the most awesome things I have ever seen. So much so, that two of my friends and myself dressed up in joker makeup(wellthenightbefore I did, I chickened out the next day) and went to see TDK at the Imax in San Fran.

The joker is an ever-changing entity in the world of batman, he changes almost everytime a new writer picks up the batman mantle. He's been gay...once? I think...o...o; So pretty much anything goes. In the sixties/seventies the joker was just kind've an annoyance and not so much a physcopath. He would steal children's report cards to make them cry[funnyfunnymoment in history].

The animated series, Joker is different from TDK's joker in the fact he's kinda got a better sense of humour and isn't quite as scary. He's a sick person, but he seems to be capable of some human feeling [unlike TDK's joker who seems only capable of appreciating fear, and pain]. He never appreciates Harley when she's there, he seems to want to get her back when she's not.

Youtube/Veoh, Mad Love. it is without a doubt, the best episode in the Batman animated series. It's about Harley Quinn's demented affections for the Joker.

haha I also ship Batman/Joker, and Harleyquin/Joker :P But I used to be obsessed with the cartoon back when I was a youngin'.

Megan! yay, someone I can fangirl with! Everyone who has seen TDK liked it a lot, but not half as much as I. I really want to see it in IMAX, but the closest IMAX theater is like, 40 minutes away and I don't drive. My parents are willing to feed my obsession, but not that much ><.

I'm planning to watch the animated series and read more of the comics. There's so much! I remember being a little kid and thinking superhero cartoons looked so boring. Little did I know it wasn't all about beating up bad guys but that there's character development and good stories.

How's life been for you lately? It was just your birthday right? Happy birthday ^_^

I guess I lucked out, alot of my friends went totally batshit over it (well mainly over the joker <3) The more people to fangirl with the better 8D My father was nice enough to feed my obsession (but only because I had two other people coming with me...)

I have such a hard time reading the comics to be honest, I've never been a big fan of american comic style and even while I'm obsessed with Batman I struggle to get through them. xD; The first version of the 90's show Batman: The animated series is very good but the animation can be a little sluggish. The creators ended up kinda re-animating the series and re-designing the characters for the version I'm more familiar with known as the New Batman Adventures, but I guess warner brothers ended up just releasing the whole thing as one big series.

Hearts of Ice is also a fabulous episode. Mr.Freeze has never been so wonderful

OHhh and Batman Beyond is a supposed sequel to the batman animated series[as it was designed and directed by the same people] and its worth looking into if you just want to see batman [the joker's only in a movie thoughhh T__T]
YAY CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT <3

Life's been pretty good, I'm gearing up to move into my dorm for college. I've never lived outside of this house so that'll be kinda weird >.> I'm only moving an hour away to San Francisco though.
Thanks 8D I'm now one year stupider <3

How has your life been? Have a good summer?

I've seen a bit of Batman Beyond and I had to watch its movie just for the Joker. ^^

Its cool how you're moving to San Fran. I'd love to live there myself one day, lots of culture and public transportation FTW!

I go back to school next week as a fifth year senior because I didn't have enough credits to graduate. But, I don't mind too much, the only thing that sucks is all my friends graduated last year and most moved out of state for college. I'm happy for them, but still kind of sucks a little for me. I also took a fun class at DeAnza, but other than that I've been spending the last half of my summer obsessing over batman which = good times.

The movie was really good 8D even though the joker died T__T Any Harley/Joker stuff I enjoy watching though <3

^__^ It's pretty exciting, but I'm still a little nervous I've never lived in a city that big before. I'm staying in the international house, so I should see alot of different cultures 8D

Ah, that does suck :< You'll make new friends though, I had to repeat an english class this year and I made alot of junior friends...8D I'm glad you had batman to entertain you during summer though :O I was kinda bored before it came out [except I went to hawaii
