Resident Evil 5 Midnight Launch~

Mar 13, 2009 02:36

Now I know how it feels like to be one of those girls taking a lot of pictures at a SuJu M fanmeet... sort of. lol

The title is what it is. Banban and I went to San Francisco for a Resident Evil 5 midnight launch event.

We arrived at BART and we didn't have to wait for the train for too long since it arrived at 6.

We arrived at San Francisco maybe around 6:45, so when we first walked to Union Square, there weren't that many people. But the line started getting longer the closer it was to 8. So while waiting in line, I was taking pictures of random things, and Banban and I made a new acquaintance, Natsuki.

When we were finally able to enter the tent, there were two soldiers standing in front and scanning us for any biochemicals (the three of us were clean). Inside the tent was decently sized, but I thought it was cool looking up because the light effects (aside from the game logos) made it feel like we were in the jungle outside.

There were different events that happened throughout the night, and one of those events was the MC introducing the producers of the game, whom I don't remember the names...

Later on during that day, the MC introduced the voice actors.

We also saw a trailer of an upcoming Resident Evil game which was "Resident Evil: The Dark Side Chronicles." The preview of it was pretty cool. Ah the advantages of the Wii remote.

There was another room that had around maybe 50 game stands of PS3 and 360 versions of the game, so when we visited the game room, we played the demo. We didn't stay in this room for long since the majority of our time was standing in line for autographs.

Banban and I had to rush our asses back to the BART station after receiving our copies because there was only 10 more minutes until the last train took off, and thankfully we made it in time after jogging four SF blocks.

Tonight was good. I have souveniers (and of course the game). :)

I got this t-shirt for free when I pre-ordered the game. And inside of the tent, there was a line where you can get autographs from the producers, and a couple hours later, it was the voice actors.

And so there was a raffle going on during the launch. This m&ms antidote vial was on the table so I took one.

The event was pretty fun, actually. At first I didn't think it wasn't since I just assumed that there were just demos available for play, but with an event that takes place from 8pm to midnight, I guess I underestimated it.
