Doctor Who, British Museum, Forbidden Planet.

How brilliant was this week's Doctor Who? Best episode yet this season. I laughed all the way through it.

Went on a jaunt yesterday to the British Museum to see two exhibitions, Italian Renaissance Drawings and Kingdom of Ife -- Sculptures from West Africa. It was interesting seeing them both together and comparing the sorts of art being produced during similar time periods. R and I did get a bit tired going around the drawings exhibition and we had hysterics over THIS. It's the ferret thing on the floor and the expression on the figure's face. It's almost like he's thinking 'Is that a ferret? Maybe if I keep veeeery still, it'll go away. There was sniggering and then I snorted. Very embarrassing. Not like me at all. Nothing like the 'ear-flaps' incident we had when we went to see the Elgin Marbles.

After the museum, I dragged R to Forbidden Planet (and got horribly lost) and came out with the hardback of Battle for the Cowl and Batman and Robin Vol 1. I could have come out with a lot more and I applaud myself for showing such restraint. I really wanted the Detective Comics 5 Action Figure Box Set. It took a lot of strength to walk away from it. I REALLYREALLYREALLYREALLYREALLYREALLY WANT IT!!!
