I've seen the Snoopy dance, live!

Under the cut are just a few pics out of the hundreds (literally) I took at this weekend's Hallowhedon Convention. I will do a report and link back later this evening.

I so need a longer and better quality lens. I also need a lottery win.

Poor James couldn't sit down because of an injured spine. He was in agony, but he he stayed all weekend. My love for this man has grown yet another notch.

Nicky was great with Mercedes. At one point he asked her continuous questions about her boyfriend and where she lived and what her boyfriend did for a living and so on. It was hilarious.

No, I wasn't lying. Nicky really did the Snoopy dance! That was a highlight for me. And before he did it, he made a real show of emptying out his pockets. Fucking funny.

At certain points Nicky kept moving his chair away from Mercedes (I totally forget the reasons), and it turned into a joke that the moving of the chair represented time left and the talk would be over when the chair reached the end of the stage. When Paul (Fuck off, Paul! [Hub 2 in-joke]) tried to end the session Nicky insisted there was time left and promptly move the chair to the end of the stage, sat in it, and waited patiently for the question. Oh, Nicky, I love you.

Mark Lutz who played played Groo in Ats and James Leary who played Clem in Btvs. These two were hilarious together. Another con highlight for me was their combined Arnold Schwarzenegger impressions.

Mark is incredibly funny and quick and gorgeous. Crush alert!

Repeat performance of the Snoopy dance and pocket-emptying. I could honestly watch him do it all day. Dance, monkey, dance!

The talk with Mercedes and James Leary had a few really funny moments, but mostly it was awkward as hell. James was very unwell (self-inflicted, I believe) and Mercedes was not willing to expand her answers. It was strained and I was glad when it was over.

Verdict: James Marsters is my hero, because I can't think of anyone else that would still attend a convention when they were in as much pain as he was. Nicky rocked even more than I thought he would. Mark Lutz is a very funny man and I would pay good money to see him again. The con was a screaming success and I will consider going to the next one.
