Can't say add anything to what the others already said, but just want to quote my favorite lines:

"Slade drew his hand back and stared up at the ceiling. Dick was his and always would be. He liked the control and the manipulation, but he revelled in Dick’s defiance, Dick’s struggles. They had a connection, the two of them; a wire bound them together and burned so hot no one else could get close." - IMO, the most accurate description of their complicated relationship

Slade's reaction to what he discovered about what happened between Dick and Catalina was really spot-on. Now, I'd love to be a fly on the wall when a) he extracts the confession from either party (that it was rape and Dick was unwilling) and b) what he'll do to Catalina.
