Lovely chapter!
what a Malfoy wanted, a Malfoy got. Excellent! *evil grin*
Being filthy rich and being able to have whatever you want whenever you want it has always been one of those not-so-innocent wishes of mine. Ergo, I absolutely love the idea of Draco realising (again) what his last name really means.

Don’t be ridiculous, I’m filthy rich splendid come back!

Cool scene with the painting, is it really canon though, that the Malfoys would be so aware of everything? Paintings always seemed like such a contradiction to me. It's like the people live on forever, yet at the same time it's not.
How are you supposed to pronounce Kasen, btw? I've been wondering since the start.

Keep up the good work!
Maddie

Ps. Did you figure out the transport question you had a few weeks ago?

It's been a bit of a revelation to him. He's been hiding for so long, he's forgotten he's a Malfoy.

I think it's canon that the paintings have conscious thoughts and memories. I do know what you mean though. I try not to think about it too much because it makes my brain hurt :oD

How are you supposed to pronounce Kasen, btw? I've been wondering since the start.

Well, I've heard a couple of people pronounce it 'Kazen', but I've always pronounced it 'Kaysen'. 'Kazen' sounds too American (no offense to anyone). Someone pointed out to me several months ago that Kasen is an anagram of snake. Weird coincidence, eh? I picked it because it meant pure and protected.

I know, the painting thing makes my head hurt as well... I always wondered why Harry didn't just go and talk to a painting of his parents if he wanted to meet them so badly. But I guess it doesn't work... Maybe the paintings have to be painted while they're alive, and his folks never had one made? (I'm grasping here! don't judge my bad "maybes")

So you'd pronounce it Kaysen? With a special british tang? Like a british A = ah instead of an American A = ey.

The snake thing, scary! Minds work in mysterious ways. Good choice of meaning, sounds just like something Lucious would want for his grandson.

Anytime sweets, your fic is great to comment on!

I never ever thought of that. Very good point! I wonder if there are some theories written down somewhere. You know, by fanatics that know every single line of the book. Those people are so handy!

No, sorry; I'm not good with phonetics. :oD A to rhyme with 'stay'. (I think you guys pronounce that the same as us.)

Yes, I'm sure here are theories. It's just one of those things that have bugged me since the first books.

Okay, I'm with you now on the pronunciation. With "you guys" I'm assuming you refer to Americans. Don't fit that category myself, but I'm with you :P
(The A=ah, the way brits say car, A=ey, the way anyone says the letter A)

Funky icon, btw :D
