Watch that Bus! What Bus? SPLAT!

After weeks of pondering and a full morning of fiddling, cursing and even a whole hour of considering jacking www.sukibluefiction.com in, I have finally worked out the problem. I've run out of space. ~smack self~ If I had a brain I would probably go one better than Rodney McKay and destroy an entire solar system with a simple click of my mouse and ( Read more... )

That's the beauty of my hosting company. They give so much space and bandwidth there is no possibly way I can go over. Their smallest possible plan is 200gb of space and 2gb of bandwidth. All the sites I have hosted right now and still I'm only using around 5% of that.

Holy cow!! That's huge. Wow. Mine is only 50mb. LOL! At the time, two years ago, I never thought I'd fill even that!

I know, I can't imagine using all the space I have. And they increase it daily so it keeps going up. Same thing with the bandwidth. Which is 2 TB not GB so it's even more. Which is also why I host so many sites for other people. The cost is low, at least not any higher than any place else and they have great customer service so I'd be paying this price even if I have nothing but my own site and SoGA so I may as well use the space for something.

Wow. That sounds great! May I ask where you get your hosting from? It looks like I'm going to need to move. I assume I can keep my web address. It just seems that some of you guys have HUGE amounts of space and even if I upgrade, the amount of space I'll get is tiny in comparisum. :o(

Ah yes, I can see it now.
You're sitting at your computer, frowning, clicking and cursing.
"What the hell? Piece of shit!" You click some more, then smile.
"Ah, now I've got it." You click again, and KABOOM! London explodes in a firey balls of expldey firey ball-ness.
The computer screen goes dark and you shake your computer.
"Son of a bitch!" Indy pulled his head out of a cookie box, crumbs covering his face. Looks around, gives a doggie shrug, then shoves his head back into the box.
I have a strange mind. It's a fun place.

Me too!! Luckily, I have an easy short term fix I can use if upgrading isn't easy. Hopefully, though, it'll get sorted real soon.

I really need to stop speed reading my flist. I saw your post and wondered why you were e-mailing Callum Keith Rennie. Damn those due South fen!

Here's hoping you can upgrade without problems - or that you find a nice new host with lots of lovely space!

When you upgrade be careful!

I upgraded and Geocities messed up my entire site. They broke every link and then told me the only way to repair them was to rebuild my site from scratch. ACK!

Word to the wise.

*hugs*

Eeeek!! Oh my, that would be a disaster of epic proportions!! I mean, I have all my webpages saved, but it would be a right pain the bum to have to upload them all again!

I have mine all saved too. But since I used their Pagebuilder tool, I have to rebuild them. No way. I'm moving my site.
