Yamashita Tomohisa Pi-zu! No.3
P’s [Photos]
You prefer to take photos rather than be in them?!
Fresh in our minds is a YamaP in the role of a photographer in the drama “SUMMER NUDE.” A YamaP that says he actually likes to take photos, inside his smartphone album…? What are the points he’s fussy about?
Polaroids are so nostalgic. The excitement of not knowing how the photo came out till you have it developed, the special feeling of having that one unique photo, I once again realized how nice that is. And the fact that, unlike digital cameras, you can’t play around with the colors, or manipulate pictures, thus making them unpredictable, makes it more interesting. When I take photos, I like that happening sort of thing. I like taking photos of clouds taking on certain forms, scenery made dramatic by the sun’s rays, and, not something I do much, but taking unexpected photos of my friends. I am more often the object of photos, but I quite like taking them, too. Similarly to dance, photos are expressions without the use of words. For a poor talker like myself, I think they’re just perfect. I mostly use my smartphone as camera, which also has a picture manipulation application, so I can take good enough photos. Yes, smartphones have certainly changed the world. With the spread of the new SNS called Instagram, everyone in the world has become a photographer (laugh).
This month’s YamaPhoto
[left to right]
☆~ The polaroid camera we used for the shooting, and other photos that weren’t used. All in all, I probably took close to 80 photos!
☆~ In my smartphone album, as usual there are plenty of photos of the sky (laugh). It is continually changing from one moment to the next, so it’s interesting.
☆~ During the “A NUDE” tour, in Osaka Jo-hall I received some pork buns [butaman]!
Every month, we will show you an aspect that is typical of Yamashita-san; named 「Pi-zu!」
We will bring to you (Yama)P-like (=P's) things, one after the other!
