1) The first time you went overseas, when and where was it?

The first time was a family trip to Korea when I was in 3rd or 4th elementary. The bibimbab was a little spicy. We went to a fashion street similar to Harajuku in Japan, and I bought a T-shirt there. My friends were more envious when I, in a later time, went to Hawaii.

2) What are your personal necessities when you travel overseas?

Passport and ticket, other than that underwear and T-shirts... That's all! In the past I used to go with a paper bag only. Though that hasn't happened recently, but if I have those items only I'm fine ♪

3) Among the places you've been to overseas, which was the most impressive?

When I was in 5th or 6th grade I went with my family to Hawaii. I was really moved by how clear the ocean was. I thought, "So this is what emerald green is!" I was looking forward to it, and it was a lot better than what I had expected.

4) How do you pass your time inside the plane?

I either read a book or watch a movie. Listening to English phrases while looking at the subtitles is good practice.

5) What's an anecdote of when you were in difficulty overseas?

I usually don't have difficulties, but I end up missing Japanese food. There are Japanese restaurants overseas as well, but wherever you go they get a little arranged. I get nostalgic of the taste I always eat.

6) What's a flavor you tasted overseas and you'll never forget?

The chige soup I had in Korea. [Korean stew] I had it when I went there in April for my Asia Tour. It was super spicy. I really love spicy food. That genuine spiciness was just perfect. I'd like to eat it again.

7) What's a country you've never been to but would want to go to most now?

Brazil! Brazil is right behind Japan, and I hear it's the farthest place, so I'm curious as to what differences there are with Japan. Their naturally cheerful, it seems fun. What I'd do? One would go to Rio De Janeiro and see the carnival, right? I want to be a little cliche at first.

8) What's the one thing you do when you come back to Japan?

Nothing in particular. When I arrive at the airport and see all the sign boards in Japanese, I just switch back to Japan mode.

9) Is there any episode realted to souvenirs?

I do buy souvenirs, but it's always normal things like key holders and such. When I go to Hawaii, I buy things like macadamia nuts choco. It would be sad if I ventured for something odd and then it got thrown away. Safe is good.

10) When are moments that you think you're glad you're a Japanese person?

I always feel glad I'm Japanese. Everyone works so hard with all their mite, they're modest, and kind. I can't put it well in words, but I love the atmosphere I feel from all of Japan. I think that's what "homeland" means.
