"suketeru" is actually "sukete iru." The "i" is often dropped in conversation. It means "I'm see through / transparent" ^_^
nihongo is a fun language to learn. If you decide to take it up, I'm sure you won't regret it ^_^

desu... doesn't really have a definite meaning. A sentence can often exist without it ^_^ But it's used as a polite ending (or copula) to a sentence. I don't really know how more to explain it ^_^;; You just basically add it in the end of a sentence if there's no verb, otherwise the sentence sounds a little too plain and impolite.
