History
He started working with Sendai SOS Model Agency ever since he was in kindergarten.
He debuted as an actor in the movie "Returner" in 2002, and had his first leading role at the age of 14 for the movie "HINOKIO" in 2005. In 2006, he played the role of Shin in the "NANA2" movie.

When his older brother was to be born, the doctor told his parents it would be a girl, so the parents thought of a girl's name. Even though it turned out to be a boy, the name remained as thought: Haruka. So since the brother was called Haruka (=far), the next one was to be "Kanata" forming the word HarukaKanata (=far away). At first it was supposed to be written with the Chinese characters "奏太" (which are the characters for "play music" and "great"), but the grandfather said with those kanji the number of strokes (13) is bad, so it became "奏多" ("play music" and "many"). ♥~ When he was 10 years old, he auditioned in the Johnny's Entertainment selection during the "Ashita no J" planning for "Zenkoku wo mezase! Johnny's Jr." on Nihon Terebi. But, he lost in the final selection. On that occasion, he showed a magical trick.

It was during a movie-shooting of "MOON CHILD,” in which I was playing the role of Gackt’s childhood. Though there was never a scene in which we both showed up, I met him in premiere couple time and talked a bit. Then Gackt was in national tour “Gackt Live Tour 2003," and he invited me.
From Hokkaido down to Fukuoka. We went for about 14 concerts together. In that tour, Gackt would sing the song portraying his childhood, and I would be standing nearby. I didn’t move much, just pretty much standing there.
Gackt is very hardworking. Never makes compromise. Never gives up. Always all out. I never slacked down being together with Gackt. Gackt looks great, but then inside he is also great. I was watching his rehearsals with awe.
During the tour, we had dinners together. Back then, I had many likes and dislikes on foods. But Gackt told me “Shota will be able to eat them when you grow older” very kindly. It’s been some years since, we are getting along. He invites me to concert lives. Once in a while, he sends me mail, “How are you doing?” and I e-mail him back.
Gackt probably thinks of me as a younger brother. He said, “Shota, you have many older brothers, but you are one of few younger brothers I have.” I was so glad. To me, he is more of a person to admire then an older brother.
