Chapter 1
The sun shone through a crack in the window and landed on a pale, beautiful face. When he felt the warm light on his face, Hyukjae woke up and opened his eyes a bit, trying to remember his surroundings. He tried sitting up, but a pain shot through his body. The cheap, thin blanket that covered him slipped off, revealing the bruises and scars that were on his naked body. The boy heard a loud snoring, coming from a fat middle aged man who also lay naked next to him on the creaky bed.
Oh yeah. I had another client last night.
This guy was one of his father’s gambling friends, and he had paid a reasonable sum to have a night with his son. Whenever he came over to their house, his hands were always all over the boy, groping him or giving a slap to his butt, and Hyukjae’s father noticed that it would be a quick buck to give his son away for a night. It certainly wasn’t the first time that he had sold his son. Over the past two years, his son had slept with probably hundreds of horny men who just needed a good fuck. It was a fast and easy way to make money.
Hyukjae couldn’t do anything about it, of course. No matter what, he was still the helpless, little boy who had prayed for a savior who would take him away from this life. However, he no longer prayed. He no longer believed. After years and years of waiting, the young teen had now given up. This was his fate.
He got up from the bed and picked up his scattered pieces of clothing. He quietly put them on and walked out the door. He left the shabby motel, not looking back, no emotion on his face.
This is what my life’s become. A thirteen year old prostitute. I’m disgusting….

“That’s all for today. Leave last night’s homework on your desks as you leave. Remember tonight’s homework is to finish the worksheet and work on your presentations that are due next week. They need to be at least seven minutes long, and I expect detailed, organized, well-prepared work, understand? Class dismissed.”
Mr. Kim’s announcement was met with groans and complaints among his students. The students each grabbed a worksheet, nonetheless, and exited the classroom, happy that the school day was finally over.
“Ugh, this sucks! Tell me why we need to learn all this bullshit again?!” Kyuhyun turned and asked his desk partner, who was busy buried in his history book. Ugh he is such a nerd!! “Yo! Donghae! Did you hear what I just said?” Kyuhyun reached over and smacked his friend over the head with his book. Donghae let out a yelp of pain and turned and hit his friend back.
“Yah watch your language! And I’m your hyung! You’re not supposed to hit me!!” Donghae whined. Kyuhyun could only smirk at his childish “hyung”. He turned toward their teacher, who was collecting the homework that the students had left on their desks.
“Kangin hyung, can you give us a ride to Leeteuk hyung’s café?” Mr. Kim looked at Kyuhyun with a disapproving look.
“You’re not going to call my teaching bullshit again, are you? And it’s Mr. Kim during school hours.”
“Whatever Mr. Kim. We’ll go wait in the car.” Kyuhyun yanked Donghae’s arm and left the classroom.

Hyukjae walked into the café and was welcomed by a bone crushing hug from his dear hyung.
“You have no idea how worried I was! I went to your house and all I found was your father drunk again. Are you alright?! Where were you?!”
Hyukjae stood silent and waiting for his hyung to stop rambling. He was used to his hyung being like this every time he came to work after he had had a client the night before. Leeteuk had never really gotten over the fact that his precious dongsaeng had been forced to resort to such desperate methods of earning money, but he understood Hyukjae’s situation.
He had met Hyukjae about two years ago, when he found the poor boy half dead in an alley next to his café. Leeteuk took him in without hesitation. He couldn’t bear to see the little boy lying in the alley, barely on the brink of consciousness, in the freezing rain. He carried him upstairs to the apartment he shared with his boyfriend, Kangin, and nursed all his wounds and gave him a hot meal after seeing how thin the boy was. Hyukjae stayed with Leeteuk and Kangin for almost an entire week so his injuries could heal, along with his heart. At first, he refused to talk to them, but gradually found himself unraveling.
Hyukjae felt that the couple was a blessing to him, for he had finally found someone to lean on. His mind had constantly reminded him that he shouldn’t trust anyone in this world because they would all betray him, but his heart had been sick and tired of being alone and having to bear all his pains alone, so he quickly opened his heart to the loving couple, hoping to find safety with them. They warmly embraced him when his tears suddenly started to roll down one day. He didn’t tell them anything about him, but they understood that all he needed was a shoulder to cry on.
The sad day came when Hyukjae knew he had to return to his house and face his father. He had insisted that he would go back home by himself. He didn’t want his first two friends to run away with his heart once they met his father and realized the kind of life he lived and saw how disgusting and dirty he truly was. He had thanked them and said goodbye and started his way back home. Once he was home, his father had given him one of the worst beatings of his life and had raped him for hours and hours that night. But Hyukjae had expected that much. He had ran away then disappeared for a week. Of course his father was mad. It was his fault again, as usual.
But that night, the punishment seemed much more painful, not on his body but on his heart. It was as if reality was mocking him. He had experienced care and love for the first time in his life, from two complete strangers. They showed him much more love within a week than his father had shown in years. God had given him a blessing, only to tear it away from him and bring him back to reality. This life with his father, this was his life. He didn’t belong with Leeteuk and Kangin.
That night, he found himself at the couple’s door, however. He needed an escape, just for a few hours, after the abuse he had survived earlier. He fell asleep that night, crying in Leeteuk’s arms, with Kangin stroking his hair and Leeteuk humming him a lullaby. That night, his secret, his burden was lifted when he revealed everything to them. He found temporary safety, but his last thought before slipping into slumber was that he knew it wouldn’t last. They couldn’t save him no matter how much they tried.
A/N: I'm so sorry about this piece of crap! This whole week was super busy with exams, tests, practice, and I have like 50 cousins visiting, and my brother's wedding is in two weeks, so I just started writing this like this morning. It's such a fail of a chapter. I'm sorry it ended so aruptly too. I just couldn't get the sadness to be potrayed within the story. I'm going to make up for this by making sure the next chapter is as amazing as I can make it, but because of that, it may be a while until I update. Please forgive this chapter and continue to read the upcoming chapters. Thank you so much to everyone who read the prologue and everyone who put up with this horrible, horrible chapter. Please bear with me for a while. I'm a new writer and I never realized how much effort goes into fics so thank you to all the writers who've written fics! Y'all are amazing!!!
