Summary: Hyukjae has given up. He no longer prays. He no longer hopes. He no longer believes. His dear friends are not enough. Not enough to save him completely.

Leeteuk was pacing around the café and looking outside the window for any sign of his dongsaeng.  It had been three hours since the boy ran out of the café, and there was no sign of him anywhere. Kyuhyun and Donghae were helping Kangin run the café, and it was almost time to close.  It was starting to get darker outside which only added to Leeteuk’s worrying.

“I hope he’s somewhere safe,” thought Leeteuk.  He hoped that the boy had gone home, although that was probably not the safest place he could be. Leeteuk looked back at the other two boys and saw them fighting with his husband over the whipped cream. He laughed at their immature behavior and decided to join in and “save” his husband.

Hyukjae stayed in the park for a few hours.  A group of children came to play, and he sat and watched them laugh and chase each other around.

I wish I could’ve played around with other kids like that when I was younger, he thought.

The kids continued to play for a few more hours before their parents came to take them home before it became dark. Hyukjae remained on the park bench, watching the families happily walking away until they were too far away to be seen anymore.

“It’s probably time to go home now,” he said out loud. His voice echoed through the now deserted park. He got up and dragged his feet to the busy street that stood next to the quiet park. Groups of teenagers were still hanging around in the karoke rooms and arcades, not wanting to go home yet. Cars were rushing up and down the street, carrying adults coming home after a long day of work.

Hyukjae walked back to the café, and, as he passed by, he saw Leeteuk, Kangin, Kyuhyun, and Donghae running around the café, covered in what looked like whipped cream. They were obviously enjoying themselves. Hyukjae swore his heart skipped a beat when he saw Donghae’s warm smile as he laughed. He let out a bitter smile and continued down the street.

After about half an hour of walking, he was out of the city now and in the small suburbs surrounding it. He walked through several alleys before he reached the shabby street where he lived.

The houses on his street were no more than shacks that were on the brink of falling apart. Most of them were abandoned, and the ones that were occupied were mostly owned by drug addicts and alcoholics. Hyukjae was the only teenager who lived there, and the other adults took full advantage of that. Hyukjae shuddered to think of all the times he’d been forced to sleep with his neighbors.

Hyukjae’s house was at the very end of the street . There were random poles sticking out throughout the yard, remains of what used to be a fence. Trash was piled out in large mounds all over the property.

As Hyukjae walked around the dirty yard, he could hear someone, most likely his father, moving around in the house. He walked in and saw his father, along with a man and a woman.

“Hyukjae, nice to see you’re finally home. Where the hell have you been?! These people have been waiting for you for hours!”

Hyukjae was too used to these kinds of situations by now to show any reaction to the news. Instead, he just looked at the man, who was walking towards him now, and the woman, who was sitting down in a chair with a cigarette in her mouth.

“Don’t worry. Tonight will be fun, I promise,” said the man. He grabbed Hyukjae’s arms and started to slide his jacket down.  The woman was now walking towards the two. She ran her cold fingers along Hyukjae’s face.

“Well aren’t you a cute one?”

Hyukjae didn’t reply nor did he show any response. He tried to find his father, but it seemed that he had left the house. The man started to lead him into his room. He was pushed to the ground as the woman took of his jacket completely. The man started to pull up his t-shirt. Hyukjae shivered as he felt the cold air against his chest. He could feel the woman unbuckling his belt from behind him.

“Aren’t you little sexy bitch,” the man whispered into his ear. They laid Hyukjae down on the floor and removed all of his remaining clothes.  The woman leaned over and placed her lips on the top of member, and he let out a moan of pleasure. His father had taught him how to properly respond to his customers.

The man sat on his chest as he stuck his member down Hyukjae’s throat with no warning. He could feel his pounding against the back of his throat, but he knew he would have to deal with the pain.

He didn’t know why but he felt tears building up in his eyes. He tried to hold them back, but then he thought Leeteuk, Kangin, and Kyuhyun. Why couldn’t he and his parents have been like that? Hyukjae smiled bitterly, and he could feel the tears falling down.  He wanted this to stop. He wanted to run away and never come back. He wanted to leave his father. He wanted this to end.
