Summary: Two years passed and Sungmin had returned. Except this time, he didn't only returned with his brother Sungjin but also brought his boyfriend back to discuss about their future marriage. How will Cho Kyuhyun, Sungmin's first love and also his heartbreaker, acts this time round. Will he fight for Sungmin or will he give up?
Chapter Two
The clock finally hits 6; a long day at work is over. Employees poured out from their offices and exited the building by the four revolving doors. Cho Kyuhyun isn’t any different. He couldn’t wait for this day to be over so he and Donghae can put their devious little plan together.
Exiting his office, he walked down to the 20th floor, where his co-workers aka best friend also exiting out.
“Yo Kyuhyun. Are you ready for this?” Donghae asked amusedly.
“Are you sure this is the only way?” Kyuhyun asked nervously.
“If you want your man back then yeah.” Donghae answered bluntly.
“Then let’s go.”
The pair rode down the elevator and entered their own vehicles. They sped off to one of Cho’s Hotel.
When they arrive, the whole place was filled with people in fancy suits as well as ladies in pretty gowns. This was the annual employee meeting.
Kyuhyun and Donghae quietly skimmed through the crowds for any familiar faces. They also stopped by to give their greetings to the many shareholders. Then, Kyuhyun spotted someone he knew. Seeing that Donghae was too busy flirting with one blonde, Kyuhyun left his best friend and quietly approach his target.
Kyuhyun silently tapped the man on his shoulder. The elder turned around and his face immediately turned color. In front of him was the powerful, heartless Kyuhyun that demoted him 2 years ago.
“Mr. Lee. Fancy meeting you here.” Kyuhyun welcomed the elderly man with a smirk.
“L-like wise- Cho-sshi…“ He bowed humbly.
“I heard your beloved son just came back… is it true?”
“You leave him alone.” Mr. Lee snarled.
Kyuhyun scoffed. Who does this old man think he is to order him around in that tone of voice! However, he remembered his father’s teachings. If a man wants something, he must remain calm at all time.
“Relax uncle. I’m here to talk business with you.” Kyuhyun spoke as he swung an arm over the elderly man shoulder.
From a corner of his eyes, Mr. Lee can sense trouble approaching. He immediately pulled away.
“What do you want from me?” He asked.
“Simple.” Kyuhyun replied again, holding up and smirk that he had the last time.
Sungmin woke up from his deep slumber in the middle of the night. That face… It still haunts him after all these years. Even though Sungmin had convinced himself that he hated Cho Kyuhyun, his heart never seems to listen. And now here he is, having the same dream that had been haunting him for 2 years now.
“Why can’t I forget him?” Sungmin whispered softly to no one in particular.
“Because you still love him.” A voice spoke out in the dark.
Surprised, Sungmin looked over to the side to see Eunhyuk staring at him by the side amusedly.
“H-Hyukkie… what are you doing here?” Sungmin asked nervously.
“Don’t you remember? We played cards and you fell asleep.” He replied casually.
“Oh…”
“Did you know… I had a hard time helping you get comfy on the bed. But when I’m about to leave, you grabbed my hand and wouldn’t let go.” He informed.
“…” Sungmin kept silent.
“Do you know what you said?” He asked hysterically.
“N-What’d I asked?” Nervous was what Sungmin was feeling.
“You called out the name of the person you had been dreaming off for about 2 years now.”
“…” Again, the silent.
Eunhyuk broke the silent and held onto Sungmin’s hand. He looked deeply into Sungmin’s brown orbs and suddenly spoke.
“Sungmin… you still loved him right?” This time, Eunhyuk spoke with seriousness.
“I-I don’t know.” Sungmin replied.
“If you don’t, then we wouldn’t even be doing this right now.” Eunhyuk reminded.
“But… I really don’t know what I’m feeling. I’m confused too.” Sungmin explained.
“If not, then why did you reject my proposal?” Eunhyuk asked, still with complete calmness.
“I’m not ready.”
“Of course you’re not. You were never ready to accept someone else beside Cho Kyuhyun.”
He paused,” that’s also the reason why that Sunny girl and you broke up… all because you would see Kyuhyun’s face wherever you look.”
“Do you know how it feels to be outcast by your best friend? Do you know how it feels when the other person won’t return your feelings? Do you know how much stress I have piling up?” Sungmin paused to regain his breath.
“You want me to tell you the truth? Yes, I DO still love Cho Kyuhyun. Although he gave me pain, heartbreaks, and even a disease, I still love him. Do you know how much stress I have?” Sungmin screamed out.
“Unfortunately… I do.” Eunhyuk’s words shocked Sungmin to the core.
“I know how you feel for I chased after you for 2 years, confessing my love, pouring out my feelings for you; you still only have Cho Kyuhyun in your heart.” Eunhyuk speak, raising a few notch.
“Also, when you come back here, you asked me to be your fake fiancé so that your parents wouldn’t worry and set you up with other blind dates. Had you ever considered my feelings?”
The atmosphere is tense. Both men looked straight into each other’s eyes, shouting out what they’ve kept hidden inside for 2 years. Both kept silent until Eunhyuk spoke up.
“Don’t you think I deserve to be loved too?” Eunhyuk’s voice broke. He suddenly turned away and headed for the door.
“W-where are you going?” Sungmin asked.
“Somewhere I can get rid of all the stress.” Eunhyuk answered. Without looking back, he walked out the door and dashed to the front door. He got in his car and sped off to a destination.
Luckily, they were the only two in this house. Sungjin was away to meet up with some of his old friends while his parents attended Cho’s Annual Employee Meeting. Otherwise, they would’ve heard and knew everything.
That’s what Sungmin thought while laying down and thinking of what Eunhyuk had said.
Unfortunately, there’s someone by the window, listening in on their conversation, and had a satisfied smirk on his face. After Eunhyuk’s departure, he too silently disappeared into the darkness of the night.
