During the ride home, the elders learned that Eunhyuk is studying at a law school and is planning to be a lawyer after 3 years of education and was Sungmin’s good friend during his 2 years in Australia.
“Ok, so Eunhyuk will be in the room next to Sungmin’s and I will be sleeping across the hall. Hurry up and organize the rooms, umma said lunch will start in 30 minutes.” Sungjin informed as he opened the door to his room and stepped in.
Sungmin nodded and turned to Eunhyuk before entering his own room.
“Well, the room isn’t very big but I hope you’ll find comfort in it.” Sungmin said hopefully.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be fine. Besides, I’m happy I have a roof over my head.” Eunhyuk said smiling sheepishly.
After 30 minutes, Mrs. Lee called her sons and their friend down to lunch. They chatted happily and asked more about Eunhyuk and his family’s background. The lunch went on smoothly and no one noticed the appearance of a third party outside, spying on the new member of the family.
“That’s how the new building is supposed to be. If you add more wires into it, it will make the whole building shut down.” A man voiced out during the conference.
“Not if we’re careful where we’re putting the wires. That mall needs more light as well as air conditioning.” Another voice objected.
Soon the two men led an argument while the head just sat back and rubbed his temple.
“ENOUGH.” He finally had enough of these two men arguing. They have been going at each other’s throat ever since this new mall had been open up.
“But…” They both began but were cut off when the conference room’s door opened and a figure slipped in and went straight towards the head. He whispered something and backed out.
“You two,” the head began, “work on your differences. Settle somewhere in the middle and get it done. I have had it with your arguments and I want that mall done within 2 months. If it’s not, you’re both fired.” He warned as he stood up.” Meeting adjourned.” He announced and all the lights went on and shuffling sounds can be heard.
“Kyuhyun-sshi,” a voice called out. It was his secretary, informing him on his next schedule.
“Cancel everything for today Seohyun. I have a huge headache from those old men and I don’t think I’ll be able to take anything anymore.” He said as he shut his office door.
Yes, Cho Kyuhyun inherited his father’s company, Cho’s Financial Group or CFG for short. He became CEO shortly after Sungmin left at the age of 18. The Cho invented and sells mostly all of their items. Unlike other companies, they are the head and the main branch. They manage bars, hotels, shopping centers and take part of City Hall. Overall, Cho’s Financial Group managed almost everything in the country.
He laid his head on his big chair and began his thoughts. His spy just came back and told him that Sungmin just came back with a stranger. The stranger name was Lee Eunhyuk, 20 years old and a law student.
He sighed out. He was about to have a huge headache now. He closed his eyes for a while then his door busted open, revealing his best friend and also his right hand man, Lee Donghae.
“Yo Kyuhyun, what with the long face? Want to go clubbing later?” Donghae said as he plopped down on one of the black chair.
“Ever thought of knocking first?” Kyuhyun asked rhetorically. Even though he warned Donghae more than ten thousand times already, he never seemed to care.
“Nah. That’s too…What’s the word?...” Donghae said as he began to think of the word he was looking for.
“Formal? Polite? Respect?” Kyuhyun shrugged.
“I was going to say unlike me.” Donghae pouted.
“Of course you were. What are you doing here? Your lunch break isn’t until 2 more hours.” Kyuhyun scoffed.
“Oh come on, I’m bored sitting in a freaking office, starring at white papers all day. I need to get my mind off of “work.” Donghae made air quotes around work as if it’s not his job to do it.
“I do believe that’s where your paycheck comes from every month. So get back to your “work” and leave me alone.” Kyuhyun snapped and laid his head back to his chair.
“What’s wrong? You’re never this snappy before. Did you forget to use a condom last night when you were fucking your secretary senseless again?” Donghae asked worriedly.
“First, I didn’t fuck her last night nor did I ever want to. Secondly, stop sticking your nose into my business.” Kyuhyun was boiling. Even though Donghae was his best friend, he can be a little nosey (pun intended).
“Come on man. I’m your best friend. Tell me what’s wrong.” Donghae was serious as he laid a hand on Kyuhyun’s shoulder to comfort his best friend.
“Sungmin came back.” Kyuhyun answered tiredly, still closing his eyes.
“And? Isn’t it what you always wanted?” Donghae still didn’t understand.
“He brought someone with him. Law student, 20 years old. He’s Sungmin’s future fiancé and they’re planning to get married as soon as he graduates from his law school.” Kyuhyun repeated what his spy told him back to his best friend.
“Now I see. Our almighty Cho Kyuhyun is jealous.” Donghae teased and grinned mischievously to his best friend.
“Shut up. I’m not jealous just… disturbed.” Kyuhyun denied as he sprung up from his chair.
“Someone’s in denial~.” Donghae pressed on with the teasing.
“…” Kyuhyun stayed silent as he stood his ground.
“That’s too bad then. I was thinking of helping you out but I guess not.” Donghae shrugged as he made his way out the door.
“What are you thinking?” Kyuhyun asked suspiciously.
Donghae smirked as he walked back and whispered into Kyuhyun’s ears.
