Title: One day at a time

Summary: Thinking about the future wasn't something that Kyuhyun did on a daily basis, now he finds himself in a quandary about his life's direction.

A/N: Well this is a sort of sequel to It works both ways : Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 2.5 / Part 3 / Part 4 Which is a sequel to I Found You, You´re Mine, Because Chullie was bugging me about it, he wanted to be next to his Kyu baby...
Living life day by day, that had been Kyuhyun's plans from very early on. Life was so uncertain that he found it no use at all to start planning things ahead of time. Just happily going along with whatever came across in his life and squeezing the best out of it... that had been his policy.
But now, Kyuhyun looked at the form in his hand... The teacher had handed out a sheet that asked about his future plans. But he had nothing to say, there wasn't anything that really called out to him.
Kyuhyun looked up from the piece of paper that was messing with his head. Maybe a friend could help him choose a path, "Hey Changmin, what are you going to do about your future?"
Changmin looked up from the computer where he'd been intent on playing StarCraft. "I don't know... Haven't really thought about it, maybe study computer engineering, or maybe criminal justice, or even just enter the police force?I have no idea... Father doesn't want me to just join his company... but I think I want to still work part-time there, maybe as your eternal bodyguard Hyunie?"
Kyuhyun frowned, it seemed that his friend was basically in the same boat of indecision as he was, or maybe not since Changmin did have some ideas from which to choose from while Kyuhyun had zilch.
He shook his head trying to distract himself from the bothersome subject that his future had become.
"I still haven't quite forgiven you for not even saying anything about knowing about me and my family, and then tricking me with the whole, oops I fell asleep on you by mistake Min." said Kyuhyun with a cross expression on his face.
Changmin rubbed his neck nervously, "Seriously man, I'm sorry, but you had seen me before, I don't think you remember but you sort of ran away from me hid behind your dad, you said I was a giant, it was right before you all left for Japan. So when you returned and my father said to take care of you I really wanted to become friends with your first, it would have been sooooo awkward to come up to you and say Hey, you don't know me but I know you and from now on I will follow you around and act as your bodyguard, oh and by the way I'm Changmin let's be friends Besides falling asleep on your shoulder was completely unplanned, really."
"Ok I forgive but you can't forget you also drooled on me." Kyuhyun grinned mischievously.
"Man you're never going to let it go will you?"
"Never"
"But that wasn't what you asked me at the beginning of this conversation, why are you changing it? So what's eating you, why the sudden interest in my future? Is something bothering you?"
Kyuhyun frowned slightly, "Nothing really, just this thing that the professors gave out in homeroom, I really don't know what I should do, nothing really stands out as something only Kim Kyuhyun can do.... Heechul says I should become a singer, but I really don't think I want to, I'm not really musical."
"Now that's a lie, if I ever did see one" When Changmin saw Kyuhyun open his mouth in protest, "I know I haven't known you for a long time but I've seen you tapping your fingers to the rhythm whenever a song comes out, I've heard you humming to yourself when you think no one hears you and whenever you go to the Noraebang, even though it takes a long time of convincing and bothering you and just about twisting your arm about it, when you do sing it's full of passion, feeling and just... god you should see yourself, you're so charismatic, it's like you lead people through all those emotions. Have you ever noticed that no one wants to sing after you? It's because you're that good, that nobody wants to be the following act."
Kyuhyun looked up surprised, "Really? I thought it's because I was really bad."
"Hasn't Heechul-hyung told you that you have an awesome voice?"
Kyuhyun nodded, "I always thought that he was just saying that because I'm his boyfriend and he loved me."
Changmin started laughing, " Oh Hyunie, you're so cute"
"Yah!! I'm not cute, I'm handsome and oftentimes extremely hot, but never cute, so stop speaking so condescendingly Min! Remember I'm your hyung!"
"By a few months, and they don't count, and I don't care if you're hot or not, I'll leave that for Heechul-hyung to determine."
Kyuhyun launched himself at Changmin and they started wrestling on the floor. Kyuhyun of course was no challenge to Changmin who soon had Kyuhyun on the floor with his hands held behind his back while he sat on top of him. " You were saying Hyunie?"
"Hey you're supposed to guard me not harm me Shim Changmin!"
"You started it. Now say it... We're same age friends who don't need to bother about age differences."
"Ok fine... fine, age doesn't matter in our friendship."
Changmin let him go and they both returned to their previous occupation, with Kyuhyun thinking more seriously on the possibility of becoming a singer, it wasn't completely repulsive but he really didn't like to sing in front of people, and becoming a singer would involve holding concerts in front of thousands of people.

Heechul put down his cell phone after talking energetically at who must of been Kyuhyun. "YES!" He jumped up and danced around the large office he shared with Hangeng.
Hangeng knew that Heechul wanted him to ask why he was so happy so he looked up from the papers he'd been looking over, " So, what's got you so happy? Are you finally getting laid?"
Heechul lifted an eyebrow, " Why? if I'm not, are you offering?"
Hankyung snorted, "You wish. So what was the call about?"
"Kyuhyun agreed to jump aboard the K.R.Y idea, though he does want to meet with Ryeowook and Yesung first to see if he'll be able to work with them."
"What did you do to make him want to even think about it?"
Heechul waved his hand, already dismissing Hangeng and poring over the files on his desk, "Make sure to have Sanghyun call Yesung and Ryeowook to come into the office tomorrow, we can finally start up the group."
