“So ballet, huh?”
“Uhm, yeah.”
Yoochun watched the droplets of water on Junsu's naked back and watched them slide down to his ass. He licked his lips. “How eccentric.”
“Maybe this wasn't the best idea we could come up with,” Junsu said and turned around.
“I can promise you,” Yoochun breathed out, “there has never been a better idea.”
“I'm already late, Yoochun...” as he said it, he leaned in and hooked his chin over Yoochun's shoulder.
Yoochun put his hands on Junsu's wet hips, gracing his ass with his thumbs. “You know, I hear you go to hell if you work on Sundays.”
Junsu snorted and wrapped one arm tightly around Yoochun's waist and with the other one reached to turn of the water. “I really have to go.”
“Come on, what's the worst thing that can happen if you call in sick for a day?” Yoochun asked, still not ready to let go.
“Then all the little kids get disappointed because their favourite dance teacher stood them up. Can you be that person? The one who causes disappointment in little kids?”
“If it means we can stay in bed for a few more hours,” Yoochun groaned. “But I'm going to take your no like a man.”
He pulled the shower curtains open and lead them onto the cold bathroom tiles. He took two towels off of the towel rack and handed one over. If he had been alone he would have walked into his room naked and looked for a towel there, like he always did. But having a guest that didn't seem too appropriate.
Yoochun was still contemplating whether he should ask if Junsu would come back after work, when he felt a finger dig into his ribs.
“You're spacing out,” Junsu said. “Which I could take as an insult, seeing that you'd rather stare at the wall than at me, naked, right over here.”
“It's not that at all,” Yoochun quickly said. “I was just wondering when I'll see you again.”
“Oh,” Junsu said and looked down at the towel in his hands. “Tonight?”
Yoochun smiled. “Perfect.”
They got dressed- Junsu in what he had been wearing the night before and Yoochun into jeans and a hood. Yoochun lent him a thick scarf, because it looked like it was freezing outside.
“So, I guess I'll see you tonight,” Junsu said when they were at the front door.
“I guess so,” Yoochun said. He leaned in for one last kiss. He hadn't planned on it becoming as sensual as it eventually did when Junsu slid his cold hands under his sweater and squeezed his sides.
It took them a whole minute to break apart.
“I guess that's something you can think back to for the rest of the day,” Yoochun said and scraped his throat. “A little reminder of how last night went.”
“Yeah, I didn't think the sting in my ass and the hickeys on my neck were enough,” Junsu chuckled before he really had to leave.
Time for a call.
“Took you long enough,” Jaejoong answered. “You had sex on the first date, didn't you? I told you not to, but who listens to me?”
“It wasn't the first date. We went out yesterday too. Twice even.”
“Three dates in 24 hours? Is that desperation I smell?”
“Shut up. I really like him. He teaches little kids how to dance.”
Jaejoong laughed out loud into the receiver and Yoochun wanted to punch him in the face. “He sounds nice enough, but you have to admit that two days is a bit crazy? You know what you'd be called if you were a girl? A slut, that's what.”
“Harsh.”
“Truth. It's not like you need to. If he likes you, he'll stick around. When are you seeing him again?”
“Tonight.”
“Again, is that desperation I smell? You've seen this guy that just popped up out of nowhere every day since your first date. Does that sound normal to you?”
“Nothing sounds normal coming from you, Jaejoong. You're worrying to much. I'll call you later, okay?”
“Don't sleep with him again.”
“Bye.”
He hung up and sighed loudly. Way to ruin the dream, Jaejoong.
It was around 7 o'clock when Junsu called him up to ask if he could still come over and for one second Yoochun considered telling him off, but he couldn't get it over his heart. “Of course,” he had said.
Junsu arrived half an hour later, wearing different clothes than when he left.
“Did you go home first?”
“Yeah, changed my clothes and had dinner with my parents-”
“I was going to order a pizza!”
“Yeah, I thought you would, so I ate before I came,” Junsu grinned and Yoochun shook his head.
“You're crazy if you think I'm going to eat alone.”
He lead Junsu further into his home and made sure he knew where everything he could possible want was before he went to order a pizza for the both of them. He guessed it didn't really matter what he got, because Junsu was already set on not eating it anyway, but Yoochun wouldn't be Yoochun if he didn't shove it down his throat.
“Coffee?” he asked when he came back.
“Yeah, sure,” Junsu said and followed him into the kitchen. There was no table or chairs, and Junsu didn't think it would even fit in the tiny place, so he just stood there looking over Yoochun's shoulder.
“So what's the deal?” Yoochun asked as he put the first Nespresso into his machine. “Why are you still living with mom and dad?”
“Oh, well I moved into a dorm room when I went to law school, but I sucked too hard at it and dropped out in my second year,” Junsu explained.
“Why am I not surprised?” Yoochun chuckled.
“Rude. Anyway. I dropped out and auditioned for a scholarship at the dance school. They wanted me and it was just a few blocks away from my parents' house so I moved in again.”
“Are you planning on moving out any time soon?”
“Don't push me. I'm taking my time,” Junsu said and tilted his chin up.
Yoochun laughed and handed Junsu a cup of coffee. “A lot of people would find it a total turn off, you know? A guy still living with his parents.”
“It's not that weird! I'm twenty four, I still have all the time in the world. And you clearly don't find it a turn off. Right?”
“Right. It's kind of...endearing. I bet your mom packs you a lunch every day.”
“That's not funny.”
“O my god, it's true.”
Junsu looked away and took a sip of his coffee. Yoochun laughed and lead him back into the living room.
“Sit down,” he said and plopped down on the couch. Junsu followed his lead and looked around.
“Your house looks really nice.”
“Thanks,” Yoochun answered and turned on the tv.
Ten minutes of talking about nonsense television later, there was a knock on the door and they had pizza.
Yoochun put it down on the coffee table in front of them and took two plates out of the kitchen.
“It looks great, have a taste,” he said and put a slice on Junsu's plate.
“Do you know how-”
“I don't care. Just eat already.”
“Maybe later,” Junsu eventually said and Yoochun knew he was lying.
“You know it's rude to refuse food in someone else's home.”
“That's mean, don't say that,” Junsu frowned.
“Then just take a bite out of the damn pizza.”
“God, you're so annoying,”Junsu huffed. He leaned down and took a bite out of the slice in Yoochun's hand. “Happy?”he asked with his mouth full.
“Yep, you've never looked sexier,” Yoochun grinned and continued eating.
The longer they were sitting there, the more relax they were and around ten o'clock Yoochun was lying against Junsu's chest and Junsu's fingers were buried in Yoochun's hair.
“Do you have to work tomorrow?” Yoochun asked.
“Not until twelve, why?”
“Just asking.” Jaejoong's words were coming back to him. Would it be weird if Junsu stayed the night again? Yoochun couldn't imagine asking him to leave and if tonight would be anything like the night before he would be crazy to.
“So are you staying over?”
“Sure.”
What's done is done, he thought and couldn't help but smile. Jaejoong was a prick anyway.
The night before had gone smoothly because they had been kissing and having sex seemed like the logical next step. Now, however, was a bit different. They had been hanging all evening and they hadn't even kissed once. And now they were getting ready for bed and Yoochun was starting to doubt they were even going to have sex, when he caught Junsu yawning.
“Are you that tired?” Yoochun asked as he fluffed up his pillow.
“Nah, it's just that I usually don't stay up too late,”Junsu said and stepped into bed wearing nothing but boxers and a white undershirt.
“Don't tell me you have a bedtime?”Yoochun chuckled, earning a pinch in his side.
“Stop teasing.”
“Make me, momma's boy.”
Junsu growled and flung his arm over Yoochun's waist before hauling himself up just to let himself drop right on top of him.
“You sure are heavy for a guy who runs a thousand miles everyday,”Yoochun groaned.
“If I knew you were this mean I would never even have approached you in the first place,” Junsu said and pressed his hips down hard.
“Aren't you happy you did?” Yoochun asked and spread his legs a bit wider, just to let Junsu lie a little more comfortable. Really. “I mean, don't my great kissing skills make up for a lot?”
“Descent,” Junsu said. “Descent kissing skills.”
“Lies,” Yoochun exclaimed indignant. “I should kick you out of my sacred-made-for-loving-bed for that.”
“Made for loving?” Junsu chuckled and propped himself up on his elbows, positioning on on each side of Yoochun's shoulders.
He didn't say anything, instead he tilted his head up and brought their lips together for the first time that night.
Yoochun couldn't remember the last time he had woken up to the smell of coffee. He didn't need another reason for Junsu to be a keeper.
“I hope you don't mind me using your machine. I didn't want to wake you up when I went running,” Junsu said when Yoochun shuffled into the kitchen, barely awake.
“You went running? What time is it?” Yoochun mumbled and stared at the time on the microwave. “That can't be right.”
“Sure it is. Here you go.” Junsu pressed a hot mug into his hands and picked up another.
Yoochun frowned. “I don't usually function at eight o'clock in the morning. I'm confused. Why the hell am I awake.”
“Simple,” Junsu grinned and touched the ends of Yoochun's hair. “You missed me.”
“I guess mushiness is what's for breakfast,” Yoochun rolled his eyes, but took Junsu's hand in his own. “But seriously, I don't think I have anything we can eat.”
“Well do I have a surprise for you,” Junsu said and pointed at the brown paper bag lying on the counter. “Fresh fruit from the market down the street.”
“I didn't even know they were open at this time of the day,” Yoochun yawned. “I was planning on eating cold pizza.”
“Yeah, no,” Junsu said. He reached into the paper bag and took out a red apple. “Eat this.”
“You spoil me,” Yoochun said dryly and took the apple.
“I need to tell you something,” Junsu suddenly said and Yoochun frowned. Good news doesn't start with “I need to tell you something.”
“And I'm pretty sure you're going to hate me after this-”
“O, come on. I looked passed the bullying in high school what could be worse than that?” Yoochun asked, hoping that really, nothing could be worse than that.
“I think there is...and I know I should have told you from the beginning, before we slept together-”
“If you're sick or something, we used a condom so-”
“What? No, no, I'm not sick,” Junsu said and bit his lip.
“Then what?” Yoochun asked. “You have a boyfriend?”
Junsu's head snapped up and he gawked at him. “How did you know?”
Yoochun felt something boiling inside. This asshole! “I didn't,” he snapped and snatched his hand away. “But I guess I do now.”
“We pretty much broke up, though,” Junsu said and reached for his hand again.
“'Pretty much' isn't broken up,” Yoochun said coldly. “I can't believe you made me the other woman.”
“You're not!” Junsu said. “Me and him...we were kind of on a break, but not officially broken up, but kind of! And I'm going to break up with him, I swear.”
“When?”
“Today. Now, if you want. I'll call him and tell him we're definitely over right now.”
“It's kind of late for that, don't you think? Couldn't you come up with a better moment to tell me this? Like, I don't know, before we slept together? Let alone twice? God, Junsu, I can't even believe this. What the hell is wrong with you? Fuck you!” As Yoochun's voice got louder, Junsu was getting smaller, until Yoochun finally turned around and barged out of the kitchen and into his bedroom. He spilled more than a little coffee on his way there, but that was pretty much the last thing he cared about at that moment.
“Yoochun, wait,” Junsu called after him, but stayed outside. “I wasn't expecting us... to feel so right. Otherwise I wouldn't- I didn't want to- I'm sorry I lied.”
Yoochun sat down on his bed and frowned. This was messed up. This was really, really messed up and he didn't know how to fix this.
When was he going to meet anyone who he clicked with so well? When was he going to find anyone who wanted the exact same things in bed as he did? When was he going to meet the person who'd break up with their boyfriend for him?
“Yoochun? I'm sorry if you feel cheated or something, but I swear I didn't use you or anything. And I'm not a cheater. I like you a lot...”
Yoochun took a sip of his coffee.
“And I wasn't planning on sleeping with you that first night, but how was I supposed to say no? Not that you were pressuring me or anything. You were great. So great that I just couldn't stop and I was scared that if I told you I had a boyfriend you'd never want to see me again...”
Yoochun took a bite out of his apple.
“And then the next morning everything felt so perfect and I came over again last night and I was really trying to tell you, but I just couldn't.”
Yoochun drank up the last bit of coffee in the cup and put it down on his dresser before getting up and opening the door. “You suck,” he said. “You suck really hard for going out with me while you have a boyfriend, break or no break. You didn't say anything and that sucks.”
“I know, I'm sorry, I suck.”
“Yes, you do. Break up with that guy right now.”
“Okay,” Junsu said and slid passed him into the bedroom, where his cellphone was lying on Yoochun's night stand. He picked it up, dialled a number and waited. At the third ring Yoochun stopped him.
“Don't do that,” he said and took Junsu's phone out of his hand. “You can't break up with someone over the phone.”
“You just told me to,” Junsu frowned.
“Would you jump off a bridge if I told you to? God, just meet up with the guy and break it off. Today.”
“Fine,” Junsu said. “But I still have to call him to tell him to meet me.”
“You're an idiot,” Yoochun said.
“Why?” Junsu asked.
“Just because,” Yoochun said and gave him his phone back.
“I don't want to say I told you so,” Jaejoong said. “But I fucking told you so.”
“I knew it was too good to be true,” Yoochun said. “When did I turn stupid? When did I become that guy?”
“I've seen it happen before,” Jaejoong shrugged. “A cute thing comes around and guys go crazy. You've been played. The boy was looking for a good bang, he found it and now he's going back to his rich basterd of a boyfriend who probably can't even get his cock up-”
“Jaejoong, you don't know him. He's not like that at all, just let it go.”
“I'd have punched him in the face.”
“You're worthless, really,” Yoochun sighed and stood up from the bench in front of their office building. They were done for the day and had sat down for a quick smoke, but Yoochun was done. Junsu was supposed to come back to his place to tell him how it all had gone. He chose not to tell Jaejoong that. “I'll see you tomorrow.”
The second he was out of Jaejoong's sight he felt someone tug on his jacket from behind. He turned around and found Junsu smiling at him. Asshole.
“I broke up with him. I told him about us. It's over.”
“Is it really?” Yoochun asked and started walking again.
“What do you mean?” he asked and walked next to him.
“I really don't want to have your jealous boyfriend knocking on my door, that's what I mean!”
“Don't be ridiculous, he's not coming anywhere near us,” Junsu said assuringly. And not a second later, there was a voice calling Junsu's name from behind them. Junsu froze and from his expression Yoochun could guess that this was not good news. When they finally turned around, a tall guy had caught up to them.
“You forgot your scarf,” the man said and Junsu forced a smile.
“Thanks. You didn't have to bring, I'm coming in to work again tomorrow so-”
“But it's cold now, so you should have it,” the stranger said and Yoochun thought he was gorgeous. And then he realized that the scarf he was handing Junsu was his scarf.
“So is this the guy?” The man suddenly asked and Yoochun looked at Junsu waiting for an answer. Junsu took a deep breath and said: “Yoochun, this is Rain. Rain, meet Yoochun.”
“So this is the guy?” Rain asked again.
“Am I the guy, Junsu?” Yoochun asked.
“Yes, you're the guy Yoochun,” Junsu snapped.
“When you first told me you already had someone else, I thought you were just saying that. But I'm happy to see that you're happy. Don't cry, okay?”
“I won't cry, okay? I'm super happy with my new boyfriend-”
“Wait, why would Junsu cry?” Yoochun asked.
“Well-”
“Rain, don't-”
“I broke up with Junsu this afternoon.”
For a few seconds they were three idiots standing in the middle of the street in complete silence.
“Well, I think we should get going,” Yoochun finally said and pulled Junsu with him by his arm. Rain waved them goodbye before going back to where he came from.
“I can explain,” Junsu said when they had started walking again. “I was going to break up with him. But he...beat me to it.”
Yoochun burst out laughing, and couldn't stop until they reached his apartment.
Karma.
