Chapter 21: Blackmail
“Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit shit...”
“What are you doing?”
“Shit, shit, shit, shit-“
“Junsu.”
“Shit! Shit!”
“No we’re not! We’re talking about you and your jewellery-crisis which isn’t a crisis at all. Yoochun probably forgot about it already.”
“Believe me, he didn’t forget. And he never will. You didn’t see his face…If I don’t find that thing there are two things that can happen. Either he’s going to act like he doesn’t care, be all passive aggressive and not have sex with me or he’s going to yell at me for being stupid, cry and make me feel guilty.”
“Well, look at the bright side. In the second one you still get sex,” Jaejoong grinned.
“It’s all about sex with you, isn’t it? Forcing Yunho, cheating, making out with my boyfriend. What is wrong with you?”
“He was not your boyfriend yet! And don’t forget that you made out with Taegoon too, so we’re even.”
“Actually, we’re not. I liked Yunho before you did and you never even tried to talk to me about it before you just threw your horny-self at him,” Junsu pointed out.
“Oh, that’s right. You actually liked him,” Jaejoong said thoughtfully. “Well you threw my phone down the toilet, so then we’re still even.”
“Fine.”
“Fine….so you want to hear something funny?”
Junsu sighed. “Sure. I’m not facing Yoochun until I find that stupid bracelet anyway.”
Jaejoong turned to look at him and started talking. “So last night Yoochun talked to Yunho right? And when he found out Yunho already knew about what happened he texted me and said Heechul had told him. So I was so pissed I went to their place and Donghae was there and he told me Heechul went to his parents’ just a few minutes before I came. So I ran outside and I found him just a few blocks away waiting for a cab and I hit him.”
“You hit him?”
“Well, I pinched him, but it’s the same thing,” Jaejoong shrugged. “But the asshole pinched me back and we started fighting-”
“You started fighting?” Junsu asked cocking up an eyebrow.
“Well, kind of. But what we didn’t see was that there was a police car parked right across the street. Long story short, we got arrested and Yunho had to bail us out and Shirley doesn’t know yet!”
Junsu laughed. “I’m laughing at you, not with you just in case you’re wondering,” Junsu said before standing up and fleeing into their shared room.
A shiver ran up Jaejoong’s spine and he knew why. “I was kidding,” he sputtered nervously, without turning around. “Everything I just said was just a joke. Me and Heechul never got arrested! That’s ridiculous don’t you think? Hahaha…”
A hand landed on top of his head and took a fistful of his hair.
“I wonder what your parents will think about this, Jennifer? Who knows, maybe they’ll have you move back in with them? Or even military school? I know a couple of great military schools abroad…”
Jaejoong whimpered when she tugged at his hair lightly. “Just let me go and no one gets hurt, Shirley, please.”
She laughed. “The only person getting hurt here is you, you little idiot.”
“No…I’ll tell everyone about you and Changmin if you don’t let me go.”
Her grip loosened and Jaejoong smelled victory. But when he finally turned around and didn’t see her anywhere he couldn’t help but feel like he had fucked up once again.
